The Melbourne Victory Thread

I doubt we will see any new signings before the season starts. MV posted a pretty extensive article about the off-season signings a few days ago (https://melbournevictory.com.au/news/melbourne-victory-mens-transfer-wrap-up/). I reckon they would have waited to post that article if there was potentially more signings happening. Could see them making some adjustments in the Jan transfer window though.
We can only hope that Vergos has a much improved 2nd season. We often see visa players improve once they are a bit more settled into Australia. Let's hope he is one of those.

Vergos wasn't bad. He was still good for 10 goals llast year. I think you're right re: new signings but I can hope ahaha.

Vergos had 7 goals last season. Same as Nishan and same as Machach.
Not terrible, but noticeably worse than other strikers in the league.

Sounds like it might have been 2 goals and an assist for Grimaldi? But I'm seeing differing stats in different places.

Probably the Reec one. It was practically a tap in from a Grimaldi assist.

Good news Velupillay is with the team. It'd be nice to get some news from the club if he's injured. @tsf has your man on the inside said anything?
 
I haven't noticed Franco Lino in any of the pre-season squads. Anyone know if he's appeared in any?

I don't think anyone condones racial or homophobic abuse. It isn't unique to Victory. Every club has idiots.
