Mariners new ownership soon?

From all the snippets I've pick up this was the one that was hanging round before but never actually submitted to a fit and proper person review. If true he had more than 12 months to do it.

Really makes you wonder the mentality of some of these execs.
Prioritising the CEO and admin staff pay over the unionised players, is about as dumb as it gets.
If staff get paid late, it's very unlikely to receive any media attention.
If the players get paid late, the PFA will make sure it gets media attention.

I'm really over the off field bs. Every club there are issues

I'm not really sure what is going on. Damon Hanlin is still at Sydney Olympic and supposedly fully funding the Australian Championship side himself as a separate entity, He is apparently on the nose a bit at Olympic but is unofficially funding part of the Mariners. The admin staff at this stage are few and far between. Is Hanlin planning on leaving Olympic and talking a few with him? Yet no application has gone to the APL. You would think if it was just him that an application would have already been made. To me it looks like he is a front man and there is a bigger group behind this but nothing is finalised. Like Western United I suspect there is a property element here but in central Gosford - not out in the cow paddocks.

Been thinking the same for a while now

Multiple sources say that English Championship club QPR had also been negotiating with Charlesworth to buy the Mariners in the off-season and had even reached an agreement with him, only for the deal to fall over at the eleventh hour, at which point they withdrew their interest.

The APL will now attempt to revive those discussions, but sources say that two other European-based clubs, plus a local consortium, have already signalled their intent to be part of the process.

I stopped reading after Vince Rugari....
People I trust think he is on the money this time.

So in summary.

Charlesworth/Hanlin deal has fallen over. APL takeover with a target to be sold by the end of the season.

5 bidders - QPR, 2 other overseas clubs, Hanlin and a local consortium.
