Confused hoping somebody could answer, sth claim to have the best youth system and make lots of great players, why can’t they field there so called players coming from up in the youth system because they have how many o youth in there senior squad?

We have given plenty of opportunities to our own, but we've never claimed we have the best.

I get we wanted a bit more of a splash perhaps, and possibly a bigger draw card, but IMO the above is some solid footballing business.. players that can come in with solid games under their belts (bar 1 perhaps) in positions we were clearly hurting in all season.. If they can gel and align quickly in this mini pre season then there is no reason we would stuggle in this group!

If nothing else its an upgrade, and we can continue to then build on it in the next window.

Surely when Aguek comes back from his holiday Sinisa can just whip him back into shape and have him do catch-up training so he can gel into the team ready for when the Australian Championship rolls around though.

Interesting ... Id have thought we would play different DM, Pasquali to fit that CM/AM role in conjunction with uchida moved more outer mid.. Giannakopoulos will provide some needed depth for the back!

Who would you play DM?

Pasquali is always injured, if he doesnt break down the next few weeks its a bonus.

Id like to hope Menelaou when he has cover in front of him can still perhaps work out as DM... raising his fitness levels is key though like Pasquali. Without the signings playing menealou is a bit of a liability without cover.

Without pasquali perhaps bonada slots back into cm/am and mikkola uchida take the wings? With bonada though i dont think there is as much cover on Menelaou though putting pressure on him... A fit pasquali is more solid cover for menelaou.

how do you see us fitting mikkola & bonada in?
 
Giannokopulos walks straight into the starting line up as DM even though he can play as a CB for even RB. I like Menelaou but he’s fighting for the same position as Giannokopulos. Pasquali is a high risk high reward type signing who’ll probably play as an 8 in our system if he can stay fit hopefully he can be our Lesiotis type of player. We still need a midfield playmaker like a Guest or Trajceski
