Could be worse...... Can't imagine what it would be like at Somers St these days, watching Tolios' boys almost take the title.

TBF we have done this for the past 2-3 years.... partially out of necessity, but also as part of a structural philosophy... Some worked, others didnt but ... yes I agree, more of this.

We did it in the CT era when we poached the likes of Lujic, Eager, Theodore etc, these were the best players in their respective positions at the time. A lot has happened in a decade though, much more financial muscle from the rest.

Its not so much the financial muscle of the rest that concerns me it is the falling from grace of our once proud club.... Once upon a time we where the pinnacle of Greek Australian sporting life... now we constantly try and survive with a massive target on our backs from those who, decades earlier, swore undying loyalty..... its just sad.

A little bit of success that should start to turn things around. We need a good 12 months ahead to turn the tide. But we need to get it right on so many levels - good recruitment to play positive and attractive football, improved post-match experience in social club, and a general positivity around the club. That will take time and the right decisions. I really hope we've learned from the mistakes of the past.
