Brisbane Roar are doing something right. I just got a call from them as someone who attended the game, to let me know that the club will be hosting 3 A-League games at Kayo Stadium in Redcliffe this upcoming season, and that they’ll be selling 3-game Redcliffe memberships for $60, suitable for those who live North of Brisbane and don’t usually travel to Suncorp for matches
The guy also said that due to the unexpected high crowd figure on the Sunshine Coast they’re looking to bring more games up there, and are planning to host an Australia Cup game there next time they’re drawn as the home team against an A-League side.
He did also say though that unfortunately the stadium in its current state doesn’t qualify for regular A-League matches with only 1,000 seats, so any A-League matches that Brisbane Roar brought up in future would have to be after the stadium upgrades are completed.
