Well they are right here and there compared to city Chelsea united generally but our smart management - no buying last pre last season and winning the league and great CL bonus sure provided a cash cow to catch up what we’ve done to date.
About time you can’t compete at that level without spending path of the course.

I heard yesterday combined epl club spending for this season went over 3B new record.
Unbelievable and that’s top flight and like everything - the big get bigger the rest either make it or break it.
Way of the world in every commodity.

Dam Peps new team down 2 at HT vs Spurs.
2 well taken counters.
Sound holding back covering cuts possession dominance.
They said Pep has suffered most defeats by Spurs 7.
Hope it gets to 8 !
Hold on 2nd half Spurs

Spurs win it 2nil.
City underwhelming - flog wolves last week this very lame.
I think one shot on goal second half.

Cursed. Benched Spurs defenders of course and captained Haaland. Good to see results balancing out already. Sunderland will rue their loss.

I've always wondered how Bassey at Fulham is a professional footballer. Absolute liability. The modern Titus Bramble.

yer good win by Burnley that and where they need to get the points same applies to Black Kats, they stuffed up.
Worse was Villas imo.
So much possession to win 2 games, Brentwood always hard to beat @ home, thats a good one for young gaffa Andrews.
Leeds got a warm Emirates welcome.
Palace Forest shared the points, will Ange end up there is the big goss.
Good new home win for the Toffees vs Brighton.
zim I watched your game,
Cottage another hard place to visit and they looked the better team most of the 1st half possession wise but it was lacklustre.
I get like all teams with so many changes this early need to tune more together but long way to go.
Fulham settled into the game due to so many errors and really started to dominate.
Pen was justified mind you behind Shaw was also pulling back and other Fulham player out of play as well.
I liked seeing Bruno's pen make it to the moon like Salahs in the charity shield.
Cameras were showing Amorin at times throughg the game just not wanting to watch some phase's of play.
Can imagine what he was thinking.
Lucky got the draw.

I feel like Amorim is getting a bit of a unfair slack. Yes, the stats don't really lie, but the man walked into a sinking ship and is expected to change things immediately. That doesn't happen in football. How can people be so forgiving of Arteta, yet so damning of Amorim? It's a double standard.

Yes, Arsenal finish 2nd and challenge, but finishing 2nd or 15th is still not winning the title. I get why people criticise United, but I also think the change in rhetoric we see is quite diabolical. After Arsenal there was optimism and clarity. After Fulham, there are calls for sackings.

I think that unless we get a keeper, we'll struggle, but that's not Amorims fault. He did not sign off on Onana. He did not sign off on many of the deals which make up the deadwood.

I quietly think he wanted Bruno to leave. He doesn't fit the system, but he is the club captain and fans seem to love him, so if he was to drop him, he'd definitely get sacked.

Amorim was backed by Berrada and Wilcox. They were backed by Ratcliffe. After all the go around with Ashworth, I can't see Ratcliffe throwing in the towel so quickly. If he was to sack Amorim, then Ashworth would be justified, and then the question is does he get rid of Berrada too.

Zim
Here some observations
In fairness in part now this is getting bit
More his team - over 200M lbs on a new front focussing on attack that imo was ott you know he needed more behind there not just upgrade a keeper but 3 front players imo stupid call.
still many players not showing the right mix and that takes more time where it seems United are never allowed in having time.
Bruno is a problem such a strong personality amongst lesser players - he’s actually toxic but you’re right damned if you do damned if you don’t shifting him.
Amorin not alone inheriting a train wreck - the last 3/4 have as well.
Agree it’s early days but United’s past success is its curse - not just the media pressure but its entire operations.
Past players are a curse how they talk in their punditry but 1, Scholes.
The this is United mantra - seriously it’s like your the only ever successful Club which is bollocks.
Ratcliff quoted he is going to rebuild - well express it a lot better than that.
Cut here cut there that’s obvious the place has run amuck on the past it’s been a joke and wasn’t CR7 right how he came out - people did t give that the respect it deserved go figure - once again truth fell on deaf ears.

Also agree about Arteta - though he has built them up better than anything United has done post Fergie.
I give him that but he’s a utter DH how he behaves and his team exudes his personality how they play.

Konate should be off. Last man leading in with hands in back on a yellow is begging for it.

This Toon LFC game was always gonna be a firecracker ! 🧨
Newcastle hosting a number of teams are my favourites. St James Park is really good on TV.

Gravenbech smartly flopping his hands to show no grab. All fair.

Liverpool still finding their feet with the new boys, players out of position but winning games which is important as the season goes on they will get better and get into a rhythm, the season is long and you need to finish strong - Newcastle were the better team but winning is more important at this stage then momentum takes over.
Great goal to win the game the lad took that so well.

JS the ref had countless moments to pull yellows all through the game but I’m glad he let a lot go in today’s game.
It helped make even more spectacle instead of stop start and more reds for could have been a couple more but he handled the game pretty well imo.

KK very true early early days and picking up points like this is gold !
Newbies dug in but still so much to improve together that will be great to see once they get to know each other more game to game.

What about Szobo’s RB performance he done so well !
To then get back to normal possie late in the game and that dummy ball through his legs was so match smart set up that chance and very late win !
The kids composure was sensational !
Record youngest scorer now just wow.
VVD MOTM as well !!

Some of the moaning from punditry and managers. 'Newcastle, Arsenal and Liverpool have early injury setbacks and their squad is going to be stretched very thin.' Oh fuck off! They have plenty of alternatives. Maybe not at the same level but these players are also in the squad and need to be introcued. Osula is a great example of doing something from nothing. Integrate them with the admiration of the time you had to have them by signing them.

Have some mentioned LFC JS ?
Don’t think we have that much of an issue and Slot isn’t the type to carry on might I add unless I’ve missed something, maybe it’s Carra ?
Toon are in the injury hurt of key players after our game and I think Arse have Saka plus another key player out injured again.
It does effect them but yer they should nurture their bench players more for the squads are deep enough I agree.

Just some on BBC or Fantasy podcast.

Arsenal have signed so many big names for depth they'll be laughing about who they can bring.

In regards to Liverpool they've given themselves the unnecessary challenge of shuffling at right back and now the bonus hut conundrum of a kid scoring a winner. Same. With Osula showing it can be done there's automatic new depth that can be better trusted.
