I can't say but not surprised if so, seen enough over the years and last couple.
Even during games with their lower grades is a hassle, U20's, just a pre season we were at and their coachs weren't happy with the refs how the game was going and then started giving bants to the (our) opposing subs, then more of their stupid support start congregating near the subs and the coach asking who wants to have a fight with him.
They are a prob, given the Championship needs a good start they sooner or later will cause headlines we don't need.

I am actually surprised originally they didn't get through ? or didn't submitted a proposal ? or got knocked back who knows.
You'd think they would have for we all know they are strong in our NPL.

This issue dovetails into an issue that some Greeks in Melbourne are 'enraged' about.

It is about Preston Lions and their presence in the NPL, and soon to be NSD.

These Greeks are what we (derogatory) call 'Μακεδονομαχοι'. That means Macedonian fighters. But they are keyboard warriors.
These people are still 'fighting' the Macedonian issue.

There is this one bloke (just a nobody who has been given a platform by people who should know better in the Greek media) who is enraged that Preston still have Macedonia in their constitution (or something along those lines). The bloke doesn't even attend Hellas or Heidelberg games. So what does he care?!!!

The other person (on 3XY) is far more devious in my opinion. He is enraged that in this day and age we have to segregate fans or play behind close doors (or shift venues for security reasons). This person is a rabid anti South Melbourne Hellas supporting Heidelberg fan. He indirectly lays the blame on these lockouts/ground changes on Preston, rather than the fact that Heidelberg and Oakleigh are small club who 'can't handle the pace' (I paraphrased Benny Hill! Hehe). My club, South Melbourne did not have a problem with hosting or being hosted by Preston!

Marconi get an active support group that lasts half a season before disbanding every few years.

What's the go with Knights fans, they just give up? I watched the game tonight against Oakleigh and it was like a graveyard.

I remember a few years ago the active used to stand under the commentary scaffolding and you would hear them throughout the game giving the opposition shit

TBF to Knights fans, their football has been garbage this year... the club is hurting.... Maybe a season of playing weaker clubs and a couple of winning streaks in an attempt to get promoted may do them the world of good and bring the fans back?.. Sad to see a mighty club humbled like this....

The APIA posts about Symons were so funny, everyone was making out like the guy had just died when he just signed for a team in a lower division lmao

TBF to Knights fans, their football has been garbage this year... the club is hurting.... Maybe a season of playing weaker clubs and a couple of winning streaks in an attempt to get promoted may do them the world of good and bring the fans back?.. Sad to see a mighty club humbled like this....

VPL 1 is a seriously tough competition. Very few achieve instant promotion back up.

I do agree with you, and Preston really need to get on top of this. But at the moment I am really peeved with these other's who seem to be pushing this issue, PARTLY because they have problem with US! It's like they want to drag us down to their level of relative insignificance.

Agreed and we call them out for what they are, all of them irrespective.... We need to all be proactive regarding the upcoming AU champioship, and safeguarding that, bc there is way too much riding on it (i fear that one incident will be excuse enough to can it, and im not the only one thinking this) having said that i have no doubt we wont be an issue nor will preston most likely etc but all it takes is a Rockdale (from what we read) and its all done and dusted before it even starts and thats worrysome.....

Quite simply bc Choakleigh doesnt matter to anyone... we are always going to be the benchmark!
