I believe he was the one we were meant to be picking up from the airport last week lol. Sounds better than the one we got from Queensland. In any case our defensive stocks are enough.

A playmaker/attacking mid has been a glaring weakness of ours for a long time and it looks like we failed to address that need again.
 
On the back of this transfer business i'd be happy to now even finish a spot above the relegation. Nagamatsu on his own is nowhere near enough as far as attacking options go. Poor window but i think the club have decided to be tightasses because we've won a few games recently. If we were in a more desperate position i think we would have done more. Lets hope this doesnt come back to bite us because the ladder beneath us can tighten pretty quickly again.

If the aim is only to avoid relegation, then the signings are enough.

If the aim was to make finals and do well in the cups, then we are 1-2 quality players short.

Definitely we won't be making finals this season but we should be doing well in Dockerty Cup, perhaps making the grand final and maybe also making the Australia Cup round of 16 in addition to avoiding relegation.

Dont believe we can beat Avondale in the cup, Nagamatsu will be cup tied as well.
 
Those last 7-8 mins were so predictable, take the point cos we would have lost if a few more minutes were left on the clock.

Now we nervously wait and hope Port dont cause an upset on Sunday.

Im not gonna lie but that loss was a little gutting in the way it came at the end... those last minutes brought me back to Estebans team at the start of this year...
Other than doing away with relegation we also managed to lose ground on both those above us bc for a little while there we looked like a team chasing finals... for a very short while as it panned out in the end..
Dissapointing....

I've never cared about finals because we have 0 chance of beating Heidelberg, Avondale and Oakleigh.

Im nervous because we only have 2 winnable games left and its game on if port win on Sunday or if Knights win and then win the catchup game.

Must beat Altona now.
 
The lack of attacking options on the bench and depth in attacking options absolutely killed us tonight. Our attackers that were left on the pitch were absolutely cooked which left a heap of pressure on our midfield and defence in the closing minutes.

Super frustrating, but we were probably never making finals anyway. A win vs Altona should be enough to secure safety
 
Subbing off pope for maneleu killed all momentum and control of they were going to bring maneleu on it should have been for Max.

On another note, an unannounced final signing was made end of window.
