Official South Melbourne Hellas thread 🔵⚪

State 1 is a better quality league than VPL 2. Especially SE, that’s always been a strong competition. Eltham, Melbourne Serbia, now Malvern joining the other 2 doing the double in jumping leagues.

Fausto is a great coach and should be coaching higher but we shouldn’t be looking at him. His been given decent backing at Malvern and they’ve spent more than all sides in that league - bar Bayside and Essendon.

Why you’d even consider moving on from Siniza in the first place is laughable. For what we pay Siniza, Jonny A will cost 15k-20k minimum more.

Siniza took the job when nobody and I mean nobody wanted the job. Fausto even knocked the job back and this is when he was coaching back in state 1 with Malvern. Where’s the thanks for Siniza, … there is none.

We approached Jonny A numerous times and he knocked us back. Now suddenly he wants to come back when things are looking up. Let him keep driving all the way to Heidelberg five times a week and fear that every time his car will get keyed.

The egos ripped the club up and pushed us into the mud for 6-7 years when they mysteriously sacked CT. You’d think we learn from history but no.

Sinisa Cohadzic has also experienced more success in terms of winning silverware over the course of his tenure than John Anastasiadis has in the same timeframe despite taking the reins at South Melbourne with no prior coaching experience altogether.

If Sinisa can't get a new contract what makes you think you will get anything hahaha
Surely we'll be extending Sinisa's contract if South Melbourne end up making a deep run into NPL Victoria finals in addition to retaining our Australian Championship title and possibly winning the Hahn Australia Cup this year though.

That's a tough group. Sydney Croatia and Sutherland Shark will be very hard opponents. We would need to win both matches against Canberra Croatia, win all home matches and try and avoid losing away.

Group B is also very difficult. Group C and Group D are not as difficult.

Hopefully our home matches are scheduled for Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights.

That should help maximise crowd attendance, and help the club put on a show for people to stay back and spend some money behind the bar.
