Pendlebury had more than $2m invested in the Western Melbourne Group which has blown up. This is highly unlikely to be recovered and as a result he needs to continue playing. Gold Coast offered him a 4 year deal (2 years playing + 2 years coaching), something even Collingwood would not offer him. Without Western United I doubt Pendlebury would finish his career away from Collingwood.

Wanted to visit Liverpool but we didnt leave south east.

Saw Chelsea play and Cole Palmer, what a player, heavily marked, but how he found space and his skills are just next level.

Yeah when their AFL national team plays it really unites the country unlike the Socceroos and the Matildas.

The last AFL world cup kept me up to all hours, i lost so much sleep.
Football just can't compete with AFL internationally.

I can tell you most sport fans who's main sport is AFL watched most of the Socceroos game.
I consider myself a sports fan and can assure you that I couldn't name one current AFL player without being prompt and never watch a game this season.

Some people make good points but some people go a bit too far. Like this thread was active which during the world cup which is ridiculous
