2026 Australia Cup final rounds thread

Looking forward to when our resident South Melbournians stumble home, sit on the toilet and jump on the forum
Hahha got home a little late, and had a few quiet ones to help celebrate while watching the reply... Mrs reckons I was smiling even in my sleep. hahahaha

A brilliant game last night complemented with a brilliant atmosphere...walking into BT Connor thru the front entrance last night there was not one issue whatsoever between Preston & South supporters. This only strengthens my argument that it takes a few dickheads to ruin it for everyone.
Bang on.. Had a wonderful experience and the Preston guys were perfect hosts. From the ticket booth to the food and drinks people....

THATS what a derby looks like.. A bit of shit canning back and forth, lots of noise, but no need to be a dickhead... Well done to Preston.

How was the atmosphere? sounded more dull without them
To "compensate" they had a Balkan Karaoke DJ playing all sorts of 1950s hits from the village... Couldnt understand a word coming out of their mouths but the music sounded like what the Heidelberg snake charmer used to blast out... Guess they really are "Una razza, una fazza" with the Bergers.

Imo there are different types of football atmosphere. I love active support but you can also have a good atmosphere/vibe without it..imo.

False dichotomy to suggest the choice is between ultra style support or macathur fc with nothing in between
(For most of the history of the nsl “active support” as we now know it didn’t really exist, only in the last decade or so did organised clearly defined groups start to pop up, for the most part it was just up to the general crowd to get up and about, there wasn’t a clear distinction between “active fans” and “non active”, and no one would have suggested those earlier games were atmosphereless)

Nah they were pretty loud and the ultra nationalistic North Maco stuff was in full display.. I didnt mind it whatsoever, neither did anyone else around me to be honest.. Burning flags to be a "sick cunt" is a bit dopey as is calling Greeks Turks when you have Greek players in your own team.. If they want to stick to their 90s roots and chant in a foreign language more power to them I dont think anyone minds. Atmosphere last night was pretty decent. Sketchy enough to be a derby but respectful enough afterwards that I presumes everyone got home without a visit to emergency.

What was that song that was played when Preston scored? It kept going on for minutes after the goal when play had restarted. Sounded like something ultra nationalist.
Isn’t it the song they sing with that Macedonian clarinet and the drum when they link arms and dance in a circle? Or is that all of them..

On tv it sounded like it was a fan or someone from the club starting the chant over the loudspeaker as opposed to over a megaphone
