Sign Up Now!And the Wanderers. I reckon they'll do over MV as well. For those who might have forgotten btw, APIA have actually beaten Melbourne victory in the cup once before in 2018
2 of the 4 quarter finals winnersIm confused lol, whose hosting semis?
shudup - jinxing us.And the Wanderers. I reckon they'll do over MV as well.
Sydney united had very good support last night. Solid numbers and good noise. Made the occasion. Good scenes after the equaliser. Was surprised to see an MCF presence, been a while since I’ve seen that in Sydney apart from the Australia cup final
Sorry LFC, I was hoping so too, a new fixture which we hadn’t seen play out before. Either that or wanderers. Imagine sydney united back to back games v wanderers and then Sydney fcThey were all hoping we won as they were planning a bus load from Melbourne for the Victory game if it fell on a weekend.
What if it’s APIA vs us?Will only be in Sydney if both Aleague clubs get knocked out and then it would, I guess, depend on how it was drawn, does anyone remember which semi final got "home" status"?
Can’t beWhat if it’s APIA vs us?
Well if your average APIA fan is from Canada Bay and your average Marconi fan is from Fairfield there’s clearly socioeconomic and sociopolitical differences.I always notice it’s a distinctly middle class feeling about APIAs support imo. You wouldn’t really expect any trouble, was never on the cards. Someone asked a while back what’s the difference between APIA and Marconi’s support. Not a good or bad thing, probably to be expected re where the clubs are located but would probably argue as generalisation APIA tend to be more the inner west middle class Italians who have done well for themselves etc plus they’ve now got that small local hipster subset with the keychains strapped to their pants. Will be interesting to see how the Leichhardt redevelopment turns out, hopefully it’s good, there’s a risk it becomes nicer but a bit soulless. Would help if could bring in some of their own food trucks etc
Marconi tends to be more the western suburbs working class Italians. Again, generalisations though. There would be a lot of cross over there, both would have families from other parts of Sydney who have ties to one or the other. 0 risk of trouble v Sydney united with either of them

Oh wait, you’re right. Oopsie doopsie. Hope the final’s in Melbourne then (implying that we win the whole thing). Can’t be
Correct, I don’t think either club was specifically founded with that point of difference in mind, it would have just happened that way over time as you naturally draw from the community who live nearby, then over time you get familial connections to one club or the other forming etc and the inner west is far more well off than the west westWell if your average APIA fan is from Canada Bay and your average Marconi fan is from Fairfield there’s clearly socioeconomic and sociopolitical differences.
Final will be in Melbourne, unless Lions win through to the final, then will be in Brisbane. Not sure if it will be at Suncorp in that instance though...Oh wait, you’re right. Oopsie doopsie. Hope the final’s in Melbourne then (implying that we win the whole thing).
All due respect, as much as they’d deserve it if they do get through, I hope not. Of all the potential finals the draw could throw up. Qld lions hosting an a league team in Brisbane would be a far less noteworthy eventFinal will be in Melbourne, unless Lions win through to the final, then will be in Brisbane. Yesso were hosting MV eh ?
Im confused lol, whose hosting semis?
Can confirm winning the final in Melbourne is good funOh wait, you’re right. Oopsie doopsie. Hope the final’s in Melbourne then (implying that we win the whole thing).
I'm reading the draw on the other side the other way around, that winner of Lions v North Sunshine Eagles hosts Semi Final 2South or Preston would host one semi final.
As for the other semi final, it depends. If SD Raiders defeat Sydney FC, then they would host the semi final. If Sydney FC defeats SD Raiders but APIA defeats Victory, then APIA as an NPL team would host the semi final. If both Sydney FC and Victory win, then Sydney FC would host Victory. Clear as mud.
I'm reading the draw on the other side the other way around, that winner of Lions v North Sunshine Eagles hosts Semi Final 2
EDIT: I guess it depends where I view the bracket - I've seen the bracket flipped on that side as well, so I will just take your word for it hahaha
