It seems like a really short time ago, Herrington was only 3rd choice CB for the Aus u 20s!

Kikianis and Esposito kept him out of the team as first choice CBs.

Alot can change in player development D, credit to Herrington but also for Brisbane for playing the kid.

Its very important these are exposed to as much senior football as possible given who might be looking around in the future.

It was reported by Football360(?) that Brisbane sold most of their 20% sell on clause to Colorado, so they’ll only receive another $500/600K. Still somewhere in the $1.2-1.5 million range in total. While it could have been a lot better, it’s could also have been worse.

Herrington and Beach both going to top 5 leagues. But they both have very identifiable flaws,

Herrington more likely to succeed as he simply needs to get rid of a bad habit of stepping back in anticipation of a break and upsetting the offside trap. Beach though is a poor sweeper keeper and unless Troyes plays very deep he will be found out very quick. He can learn - but it is easier to get rid of a flaw like Herrington's than develop a skill that Beach needs to.

BTW Souttar likely to be at Blades.

Just read an article saying Sheffield United is one of 4 clubs keen on signing John Souttar. So perhaps one of the two bothers ends up there or maybe both back side-by-side if the club wants to sign two CBs.

I question Volpato as a winger. He doesn't have the pace for elite level. In my view he's a 10.
