Surprised at the QLD and WA, yes. ACT, no. ACT should be 7th or 8th on a sole NPL list (with possibly only TAS behind it).I'm more surprised Northern NSW is more competitive than QLD, ACT, WA etc.
I think Opta has overstated ACT a loooooot here - it should probably be below the NSW League 1 and VPL1 listed in the data base.
My main references on ACT compared elsewhere are I have two colleagues that moved interstate (not sure if they were primarily football related moves, but they played NPL here in Canberra).
One was starting some times for a mid-table club that played Aus Cup round of 32 a couple years back - he started that game btw - and then moved to Sutherland and was released at the end of last season after I'm not sure how much game time he got.
The other I'm not sure about his first grade game time in Canberra, but was playing U23's regularly (yes, as an under 23) for a top 4 club, and then now is starting and scoring in QPL2.
