Wsw v Chelsea match thread

Wrong thread I know, but the Sydney fc supporter group have claimed they’re actively not attending tonight’s game v Tottenham. Any idea as the reason?

the latte boys are complaining about ticket prices, hence why they are boycotting.

What are they going for ? Who’s even organising this, I doubt it’s the club, why would they care if they boycott or not haha

wonder if Sutho is going to support his SFC - Moore Park you going ?
My 2 sons are going - free ticks, one a Spurs supporter.
Eldest and his chelsea supporting mate got ticks for the Spurs/Chelsea Saturday.

Active think they are way more important then they are
Pretty good encapsulation of the mentality of your club overall. “The fans think they are way more important than they are”…all due respect, hasn’t got them very far re “market penetration”. As I’ve said before, not all a league clubs were created equal

The Cove were (initially at least) boycotting the game cause of the ticket prices, which have since been dropped for the Cove bays.

I thought Sutho was a Scotsman?

I don’t know why I’m getting into a back and forth about this, but here goes… that’s what Melbourne city’s home end is because it’s painfully obvious that city football group don’t even pretend to give the slightest fark about the fans they do have. They’ve burned multiple deluded but well meaning supporter groups in the past. If they cared what fans thought they’d not have completely rebranded and erased what little identity the club had when they took over Melbourne heart. For anyone who attended a Sydney derby at its height you’d know that 1) there was something of real value to the league and a point of difference/selling point there and 2) the demographics of Melb city’s home end aren’t necessarily the demographics of other clubs home ends. I acknowledge that’s there’s a lot of deluded people involved in these groups who think they’re bigger than the club and represent the thoughts and feelings of greater supporter base when it’s not the reality. And I know there’s a lot of teenaged posers in there too. But this kind of complete and utter dismissive contempt for voices from outside the boardroom is representative of one reason why Melbourne city has struggled to build a meaningful supporter base. Again, I’m much more sympathetic towards clubs who have grown organically over time than the a league model, but not all a league clubs are created equally, some are better and worse than others. Melb city in my opinion.. is very bad. But each to their own

First of all please use paragraphs

Yeah appreciate your views. I'm just tired of active imo they do more harm then good it's my opinion and mine only nothing to do with Melbourne city

Its just a excuse to be a dickhead in a group and get away with things you can't do alone.

Fwiw Im not an ultra and I never claimed to be. I think we’ve reached an impasse. We’ve both said our piece, agree to disagree.
Guys, minor issue.
I get MCG's point - easier to read spaced at the same time all good understand your brief is a brief presented as done.
Be happy

Yeah I'll try be open minded. I see your point about Melbourne city I can't argue that to be fair
It's hard supporting this club, it's far removed from Heart in practice and playing style.
They do seem to do a bit of community stuff which is nice, coaching clinics and all that for coaches as well as players.
I hate our style of play, it's very defensive, but at least we give our youth a go, although it's a bit bewildering at times the players they let go. For example Mazzeo I thought last season was the most proactive players in the attacking third, yet he seems to have been blacklisted.
Anyone that seems to show some flair or pro-activity seems to be on a leash, we are a very defensive team and it's a bit boring.
