Robertson is better deeper but it was interesting how deep and central our two inside forwards were at times. I guess that was Metcalfe roaming. Metcalfe should just be our RWB and then adapts and assists everywhere.

Thought of this also but issue with our system is that the wingbacks are our only players providing true width. If you put a left footer at RWB then he'll look to come inside which reduces the width and space and also takes away the crossing option, espically as we use inverted wingers.

Id actually drop Behich from here on in and select Metcalfe as backup LB/utility.

Rwb can be covered by Italiano, Overy, Bennie and Miller.

Maybe. That's contingent on doing well for Watford again. They're a chaos club. Sliding doors moment is he either gets injured or the Asian Cup, despite agent representation, equally slows down any move.

If Watford make a good in the first half of the championship then it could be an unlikely promotion or moving to a good European team.

Yes ppl are saying its a big move, but i dont think most realise just how big a deal it is... A lot of comments are that its stepping stone to epl, development etc .. its the 11th best club in europe currently, so theres no stepping stone about it unless Nestor then goes onto a City, ManU, Arsenal, PSG, Bayern, Barca, Real, Inter etc. Sporting are just below them currently.

Id only rank the following moves above this in terms of most monumental in Aussie football ..

I wouldn't call Sporting, "Huge". It's definately "unique" or a "point of difference" to what we are used to seeing for Australian players, especially in recent memory.

However, amongst European regulars, Sporting is considered a stepping stone club, maybe one of the best in the world to transitioning to a powerhouse club in the Big 5.

This is extremely unique for Australian players, even in long distance memory. As we saw in the Portugal v Spain game (which even Luis de la Fuente call Spain's hardest game) while many found this a very boring game, this game was of the highest technical game.

Spain and Portugal have high technical leagues & have an Aussie player playing with such a high quality team like Sporting is very unique.
Even during our GG, we didn't have many players in Spain or Portugal.
These days technical players are all the flavour & we don't produce a lot of technical quality players.

If the European super leaguers get their way Sporting will be massive compared to Burnley. No one bigger than Rangers however.
