China and South Korea are more reliant on developing homegrown players though whereas the Matildas depend more on developing players in the farm system and the Dub before letting them head overseas which is detrimental to the state of the women's game in Australia but arguably our players will be of a higher quality if they can ply their trade in Europe or North America on a weekly basis.
I’m not being negative, I just want a thriving domestic league but we’re not going to get that if most of our best players are overseas.
Japan sends their best players overseas. We really can’t keep players here if we don’t have the money Europe does (and never will).

It’s just not physically possible to have the best players here. Look at the money Saudi Arabia spends and it’s still not better than the big European leagues. We can certainly improve the standard of the league but realistically we’re years off Europe.You have given up already.
The WE League doesn't have promotion and relegation though and another difference between Japan and Australia is that they have women's domestic cup competitions whereas there is no women's Hahn Australia Cup and it's up to Member Federations to organise their own cup competitions instead.
We don’t need foreigners here and there is no reason why we can’t do what Japan does.
Personally I think they add to the experience in the team. The focus should be on Aussie and Kiwi players (which it is given the foreign player limit) but a couple foreigners is fine. It’d be cool to see how an Aussie goes in the WE League, just cause we haven’t had that for years and when she comes back she can explain what they do differently.

Many of our promising youth prospects like Shelby McMahon, Skye Halmarick and Willa Pearson were all poached from Member Federation comps or club farm systems and will eventually end up making the move overseas so they can follow suit with Ellie Carpenter in winning many premierships.

The Dub is failing because the APL are running the league into the ground with their mismanagement and the timeframe given by the PFA to pursue full-time professionalisation is not sustainable especially with a lack of progress in negotiations for the new collective bargaining agreement.
