If we’re able to produce players that can get exported to clubs in top leagues, that’s a huge positive. China and South Korea aren’t doing that at the moment and they’ve got two of the best teams in Asia.

China and South Korea are more reliant on developing homegrown players though whereas the Matildas depend more on developing players in the farm system and the Dub before letting them head overseas which is detrimental to the state of the women's game in Australia but arguably our players will be of a higher quality if they can ply their trade in Europe or North America on a weekly basis.
