100% And I'm also 100% that Barco was being a shit and got the better of Bellingham who then crossed a line. But in the grand scheme of things it was handbags. Outrage bait in slow-motion like everything else. I don't condone it but at the very least they are old enough and ugly enough to give as good as they get.

He acted like a prick by celebrating in front of the English players which is a provocation. It was stupid. Actions have consequences. Again, not condoning Bellingham's actions, but I can understand why he was pissed off.

Barco was a sub. He specifically ran to celebrate infront of the england players on the field. Not to any Argentinian.

He just got humiliated in a match the media and his own ego told him he was going to win. EVERYONE can understand why he got pissed off. I agree actions should have consequences.

Both of them did the wrong thing. Both of them behaved in a stupid manner. One can understand why Bellingham did what he did, however, it does not mean what he did was the right thing. Both should receive some sort of fine or punishment.

I don't know about that... Being an arsehole and baiting the opposition bench is a prick act but it was a fairly emotionally charged match and, as much as I despise players thet celebrate like that, being king hit from behind is a more serious thing. At least from my point of view.

Let's be serious. It was not a king hit at all. It was a little slap on the back of the head. Stop fabricating.

And to clarify, it was not the bench. He ran onto the pitch and purposely went in front of the England players.

You can't excuse Barco by saying, "it was emotionally charged" but then pretend like Bellingham has no right to those same emotions.

Lol yeah "king hit" was a teeny tiny exaggeration on my behalf...

I think Bellingham has every right to have EXACTLY the same emotions I just dont agree with how he expressed them.

To put the matter to bed and to prove to you that both actions are NOT equal hows about I stand still for 2 hours and you can shout whatever insults you want to me and once you've vented your spleen and turned around Ill give you a little clip behind the ears? hahahah

No one agrees with how he expressed anything, but lets not pretend that Barco is innocent here.

Yeah I've always been pretty pro Ronaldo because he's been a supreme athlete I always thought having less technical ability showcased the work he does. But there was a 15-20 mins period towards the end that was vintage Messi just picking up the ball running at people all over the park played some superb crosses looked 25 again he is just an anomaly an alien almost not sure if we will see it again.

What's really surprising is that Spain has only won the World Cup once, level with England. They were 4th in 1950, placed 9th in their home World Cup in 1982 (finishing behind Northern Ireland in their group) and have only made the semis twice. In contrast they've won the Euros 4 times: 1964, 2008, 2012, 2024
 
My mum wants Argentina to win. She’s enjoyed watching them. I told her the only way they will win is by FIFA having there way and selecting a ref that will let them get away with everything and VAR to turn a blind eye at there fouls. She wasn’t having any part of it.

This discussion is also super relevant to Popovic and the Socceroos. I'd been thinking about this before - how do, and how should, the players respond when it's clear that the manager's plans A (and B if you're lucky) aren't working? Surely they should mutiny especially if it's a do or die World Cup semi-final. It's a horse/jockey; conductor/orchestra sort of question.
 
The Argentina Switzerland had a UEFA ref so the confederation block wasn't in. The semis should've have Turpin or a few others with much bigger game experience. This USA ref who is actually Moroccan is blind to shithousery while the other extravagant El Salvadorian also lost control.

We did only a few times with Ange, Bosnich, Foster and then we went to feel good group think panels or most recently, an FA member shutting down Milligan and Oar.
