FIFA WC 26 - Other Nations LIVE Match Thread ⚽

Mexico v England will really be a test for the Poms at the Azteca Stadium.Kane has produced when needed and his second goal against DR Congo was brilliant-technically difficult but hit with great force-one of the best of the tournament so far.Mexico are well organised and have a great record at that stadium but I think England will do it .
Belgium v USA.The Red Devils have been clunky at times and rode their luck against Senegal but have the players to test the Seppos defence which has not had much pressure put on it so far.Balogun will be missed.

Tomorrow's games could have more penalty shootouts on the cards but I will pick Portugal,Spain and Switzerland as winners.

The Qatar guy obviously didn’t mean to break Kone’s leg. Does that mean it shouldn’t have been a red?

The ref initially gave a yellow so the contact was deemed excessive enough prior to going to var in real time.

Todays one wasnt even given as a free kick. It had to be completely slowed down and shown multiple angles, those types of ones have not been resulting in reds at this world cup.

So it wasn’t a red because the ref didn’t see it? That’s what VAR is for.

We actually dont know what VAR is for because they're completely selective based on this tournaments evidence.

Was VAR not watching the game when Messi did his thing?
Messi is a unique case. FIFA can’t allow their golden goose to be suspended at his last World Cup. He gets special dispensation.

I might feel more sympathetic towards the Americans if they showed even a tiny bit of humility. But no, they win a couple of games at home against moderate opposition and immediately it’s all arrogance and hubris. And I’m supposed to feel sorry for them because their forward got a red card for nearly breaking an opponent’s leg? Fuck that and fuck them. I hope they get slaughtered.

Have any players done anything arrogant? Don't get sucked in by the media/online discourse the actual team is fine imo
