FIFA 2026 WC - US Dumb shit

and MCG if could be bothered would be willing to buy the gimmick.
Sorry mate just adding to the point that your right - IF people keep buying companies keep coming up with another idea people grasp to.
Then look to sell them on ebay or whatever, they follow the bad lead.
The classic football shirts in London claim to have genuine gems when a lot of the stuff is comparable to Dhgate. They're selling stuff for over 100 quid.

When will people get it's just a scam based of one's own margins and superior value isn't there.

You get the same with pubs using fancy words like ground harvested potatoes or crisp seasoned peas only for it to be the same mass produced wholesale product they paid a few cents for.

$530 AUD? Holy farkin shit....
Fuck me, I didn't look down far enough and see the price first time. Just the ridiculousness of producing host city shirts (that are also exceedingly horrendously ugly) was enough for me. But $530?!?!?! I'm just shaking my head in utter amazement.

PS Just looked further, each shirt apparently has a chip embedded so you can scan the shirt with your phone and "unlock exclusive digital content"!!! FFS!!!

Another sell spin that suckers convince themselves what a buy digital content that prob is elsewhere in fibre hwy anyway.

If I was in that city for WC and it was less than $100 Id buy it as a memento but yeah $530... it better make me a coffee and tell me it loves me after tacking my cash. :)

Yeah its ultra-capitalism gone wild... Im not averse to making a buck but the US marketeers have the consumer hot button language down to a science... "crisp" is a great word, makes a product seem fresh and therefore worth 10-15% more than rivals (or something similar, not going to bother looking up the actual number Im sure somebody can but its something like that anyway).. Great word for lettuce and capsicum growers but not so great for toilet paper... :P

you talking from experience JS hahaha
I'd sooner VVD's hair glue gell like wtf it never loosens up ! lol........well IF I had a crop of hair like him.

It's ridiculous but most chalk boards just have England vs Ghana on it and that's enough. I'm sure wording can be easy enough so anyone who wants to promote will be able to.

As if football fans don't know where to seek out matches.

Final half time show go include Shakira, Madonna and BTS. Just fuck off.

I know Shakira sang before the 06 final so just give them 10mins there and get off!

When restaurants switch to fixed wages in the USA and state tipping isn't required, staff generally earn less in total. Good servers can earn a lot through tips. That's not to say owners pocketing the difference and having a broken business model is OK.

They're already charging to dollar for food and drink while the wage bill is delegated to the customer.

Would Australian food and drink prices go down if we went the American way? Fat chance! I understand alcohol is also taxed to death.

Imagine if they just paid their staff lol.

They'd probably end up earning less overall. I don't agree with it but the amount they can make by giving very good service.

128 bucks a shift at 16 hourly or 384 bucks serving 4 tables an hour with 20% tips on a bill of 60. It'll be up and down and depends on a lot of factors. There are certain industries where the tipping is mental as the clientele and atmosphere has people throwing money around. Vegas has also seen a massive dip where the money train has dried up.

But the thing is not everyone tips much and not everyone tips at all. Aussies, Euros and Kiwis don’t tip while some cultures like the Japanese and Koreans find it disrespectful.

What I don't understand is when I have tipped a smaller amount in America the people are so thankful and surprised I did. That's confusing. I gave a dollar for a round of drinks at the bar and the guy was really grateful. Maybe locals tip in the box on the way out or something.

People on holiday will tip something as part of the local culture.

A problem in many European countries is now adding service charges to a bill when the food and drink is already inflated.
