I took offence to the consistent character assassinations of dual national footballers (in this case specifically Greek- Australian and Croat-Australian) who shouldn't have to justify their right to be Australians to some racist arse-hat online all the time... These kids represent me, my family and the vast majority of Australians in 2026 and should NOT have to defend themselves against such hateful discourse.

I don’t think anyone’s hating them because of their background or questioning how Australian they are. Anyone born and raised here is fully Australian in my eyes. I do however question their decisions. My view has always been that players should represent the country they were raised for most of their life in unless they truly aren’t good enough (coulda seen Nish Velupillay playing for Malaysia for example).
