A Newcastle Jets grand final against Melbourne Victory would also be an enthralling contest with the high-flying youth prospects going up against a fully fit Juan Mata and it'll be good to see Mark Milligan get the job done and win a domestic treble.
 
Milligan has done an incredible job. Future national team coach.

It has been a pleasure to watch the Jets this year, and to see the crowds come back in Newie.

The mystery for me this season is Victory - they are a good team and very watchable, but where have their suppporters gone?

Actually, there is second mystery for me: why, after his lacklustre record at the Sky Blues, the Wanderers have hired Talay.

My hope is that Sydney now find a coach who can bring some sparkle back to their football.

If you asked me a few months ago, I would say 100%, now I think a few are on the cusp, but lacking consistency to really push for a spot. Bringing them into a training camp or something could be good. Eli Adams and Clayton Taylor both very exciting and could both be real x-factors for the roos. Taylor has had a few injuries and Eli can drift out of games sometimes. Dobson definitely one for the future, Bertoncello I think has a lot of potential too, also still a bit raw.

The real Jets staff member who should be in the Roo's is Millsy. One more season at the Jetties (2 year contract I think?) then slot him in after Popa is booted post Asia Cup failure. Considering what he has done with no budget and playing kids is phenomenal. He's got the best out of players like Eli who were unwanted by two other clubs. Taylor was desperate to leave (still probably will after this season) but look how he has got him firing. Don't forget the previous gaffa left because of a lack of resources - so I don't imagine Millsy has been able to do all this with anything close to a full arsenal. Very impressive.
