If Jest win and Auckland draw or lose, Jets are premiers.
If Jets draw and Auckland lose, Jets are premiers.
If Jets lose and Auckland win, Auckland go top (by GD).

SFC and Adelaide will be in finals.
One of MV, MC and Mac will miss out on finals.
3rd through 6th can still shuffle around a lot.

Final home games of the season for MV, Roar, Auckland, Adelaide and Nix (albeit in Christchurch).

Can I pick the top two options? Thank you

Boring. Where's the excitement in that?
Picture this.
MV win.
Auckland draw.
Next week CCM is up 0-2 at HT.
Jets scrape back 2 in the 2nd half, then score the winner in extra time.
Jets lift premiership plate in front of home fans at an F3 derby.
That would be way more memorable.

I love this option but my GP wouldn’t recommend it 😂

And an empty echo chamber awaits the Roar yet again. Honestly, what a shambles they are.

Imagine the drama of Eli Adams getting a 95th minute penalty to redeem himself from the Round 1 miss and win the premiership…

No thanks hope it’s a bloody dead rubber!
“One penalty that could seal the premiership. Eli Adams takes it from the spot. OH IT'S IN!!! ELI ADAMS SCORES FROM THE SPOT TO WIN NEWCASTLE JETS THE PREMIERSHIP!!!”

Interesting. If Auckland fail to win, Sydney FC would play for a top two position on the last match day of the season, assuming they can win their match. Hmmmm

The results are a shambles when it comes to table position after our pre-season and the start we had to the season - but the club is far from a shambles. Too easy to just clump it in as another crap season but the club itself has not done that much wrong this season and I stand with them proudly.

I would like to acknowledge the excellent article Mike Tuckerman wrote for the Brisbane Roar newsletter this week.

If you (collectively) are not members and/or don't get the emails then that is your loss ;).

Without making excuses, it just highlights the run of bad luck we had this season - and the only part of the season that was really in our control was the sale of Herrington - who many, including me, think is something a bit special and not just replaceable by any other centreback.

I have been away for 6 weeks and mostly living dark in an online sense so I have not seen or been to any games in almost 2 months. I can't comment on crowd numbers (or the lack of) and have no idea how we have actually been playing - but I will be there on Saturday for the last home game and I am looking forward to shouting myself hoarse yet again in my passionate orange birthday suit (get that picture out of your heads).

I have no idea if there are pressures to replace Michael Valkanis at the helm next season - but if he stays as I expect then, injuries and misfortune aside, maybe we will play good football and start to rebuild the supporter presence at games again.

Come on you Roar.

Let's flog City and make sure MCG is as sad about missing finals football as those of us in our ragged but proud orange demeanours.

And to answer what may be an unasked question - Abu Dhabi (a week before The Fool's War), Lyon, Tirano, Chur, Zermatt, Paris, Barcelona, Marseilles, Monaco, Rome, Naples, Sorrento, Venice, Munich, Amsterdam, Bruges, Paris/Giverney, Mont Saint Michel, Perth, home.

Tuckerman is a great writer (he writes for Football360 now). Can you please post his article? Thanks
