The results are a shambles when it comes to table position after our pre-season and the start we had to the season - but the club is far from a shambles. Too easy to just clump it in as another crap season but the club itself has not done that much wrong this season and I stand with them proudly.
I would like to acknowledge the excellent article Mike Tuckerman wrote for the Brisbane Roar newsletter this week.
If you (collectively) are not members and/or don't get the emails then that is your loss

Without making excuses, it just highlights the run of bad luck we had this season - and the only part of the season that was really in our control was the sale of Herrington - who many, including me, think is something a bit special and not just replaceable by any other centreback.
I have been away for 6 weeks and mostly living dark in an online sense so I have not seen or been to any games in almost 2 months. I can't comment on crowd numbers (or the lack of) and have no idea how we have actually been playing - but I will be there on Saturday for the last home game and I am looking forward to shouting myself hoarse yet again in my passionate orange birthday suit (get that picture out of your heads).
I have no idea if there are pressures to replace Michael Valkanis at the helm next season - but if he stays as I expect then, injuries and misfortune aside, maybe we will play good football and start to rebuild the supporter presence at games again.
Come on you Roar.
Let's flog City and make sure MCG is as sad about missing finals football as those of us in our ragged but proud orange demeanours.
