A-League Mens 25/26 - Round 23

There's still matchups like the Original Rivalry which would count as derbies even in one team towns like Adelaide though.
Yeah, still not convinced this is a fair way to allocate the extra 4 games, and by extension it isnt a fair way to decide what position each club finishes on the table at the end of the season....

Basically what I’m counting as derbies are named fixtures. For example, the Big Blue or the Sydney Derby are named fixtures. Sydney FC vs any other team is not a “derby”.
Who gives them the "name" the marketing department or the actual league? Can you make up your own name for things or is it a social media thing?

Yeah definitely NOT promotion or relegation because then some foreigner sheikh may devalue their investment.
Expansion would have to come first cause if there was pro/rel and the same number of teams then the same system would be deployed. If you have a 12-team league with pro/rel they play the same amount of games as a 12-team closed league.

By the way I’m all for pro/rel and I really want it. First we would need a bigger league though. Make it 15 teams and then have a pro/rel spot or two with the Championship.

Pointless without true relegation.. Giving club owners an imaginary wooden spoon for finishing bottom of the table does NOTHING to drive them to contribute towards the growth of Australian football.

So, what is a true relegation?
The ones that were used in the previous National league, or the more simplified Anglo version. And how do you determine who comes up and who goes down.

Honest answers only please.
