Lackey has replaced Messourouni as the playing with 10 men player.

I can forgive that we are too slow and being exposed for pace, but we get 1 corner and we go short and fuck it up, why? What i wont forgive is copping goals from corners against these teams. Aerially we should be dominating.

I'll be shocked if we score as our front line is horrible. Apart from Cocks getting the better of them 1-2 times they have the rest of our limp attack covered.

In any case our weakest team needs to go to Fiji now. Unfortunately we will likely finish 4th now.

Realistically who could be involved on Saturday night from the returning crew? Everyone who started tonight looked dead and are a no go.

Singh? Leech?...just not having Pasquali could see us get overun in midfield. If we can get Mikkola and Lampard back it gives us a bit of a sniff.

messi rooney is ready to go... doubt he broke into a sweat! Lol

Hopefully lampard is able to get back in. Menelaou might be able to fill the void of giannakop.

Yuki for a half and pasquali off the bench or early sub if game goes to plan and we score.

Hopefully Bonada isnt wasted on a wing and he starts at the top.... and plz no swibel.. lets just start Singh and see what happens if we have to play bonada on one wing which most likely will be the case.

Cox looked overly burnt by end of match today... credit to him he does run!

Midfield balance will be the key here.

Depends when they fly home. Burchmore and coveny didn't play at all this game so could be available you could put one of them into right back and Ethan into the middle. Apart from that not really much at all

Im finding it very difficult to judge Singh until i see him playing allongside our full compliment of players. He had a bit of a presence late in the game tonight, as it stands we've only seen him for a half against hume, a half against altona and one of those ofc games we drew in the earliwr hubs when we had a weak team that game. He hasnt been surroundes by much quality when hes played.

Swibel has exhausted his opportunities. After our break we will have our strongest lineup in against dandy city back at lakeside, Singh should get his chance to lead the line. If he does nothing we turn to Bonada.

First of all, it was an amazing crowd and atmosphere at the Honiara National Stadium. Well done to the Solomon Islands fans for getting out in their thousands to support their team.

The match was played at a wild pace. You could see the Solomon Kings players caught up in the emotion of playing in front of a sold out 10,000 crowd.

A full strength South squad would not have lost against this team. At times we looked slow with the ball. If you want to break down compact defences, you need quick ball movement to create opportunities. When we play Giannakopoulos in the backline, we lose some quality and dominance in the middle of the park. Unfortunately, we dont have a good enough fourth Centre Back. That said, I think Inglese has done well this hub and deserves to be the alternate Centre Back in this competition.

Like others, I wanted to give Swibel the benefit of the doubt, but he's starting to frustrate me. He has a great shot on him, but his movement lets him down at times, which is weird to say he is our top goal scorer in the OFC Pro League !

Decent matches by Cocks, Uchida, and Menelaou.

All in all, we have picked up 1 point from a possible 6 points in this hub. This has now opened the door to Bula FC, Solomon Kings, South Island and Vanuatu United.

Agree on this ! Our marking in that set piece was awful. He should never have had the opportunity to score.

For Saturday's match, our backline being pretty much in tact - Lopez, Jankovic, Eliopoulos, Lampard. Bonada up front and question marks over Mikkola if he'll be fit enough to play. If he is, then we have a good 6 first team starters in that lineup.

The question is - how much can we rely on the players in Honiara to back it up on Saturday? You would need about 30-35 minutes from Giannakopoulos, Cocks, and Uchida. Singh only played 20 minutes, so he may be able to come on in the second half.
