Menelaou had a fantastic game... hasnt been given much game time so made a good claim fro a starting possie...
4 wins will be amazing, not impossible mind you.
Then a 9 day break until next match on March 30th .... what are we (players, supporters, etc) all going to do?!!!
What do you mean 9 days without Hellas? 9 days IN A ROW??? They better organise a couple of friendlies or something I cant stay home THAT long. hahahahahahahThen a 9 day break until next match on March 30th .... what are we (players, supporters, etc) all going to do?!!!
Unfortunately they'll be playing Round 4 of the Dockerty Cup. Given it will be the winner between Berwick City and Hampton East Brighton, I think our first Starting XI can have the week off. What do you mean 9 days without Hellas? 9 days IN A ROW??? I suppose we dont want to sink the documentary before its even started.Unfortunately they'll be playing Round 4 of the Dockerty Cup. Given it will be the winner between Berwick City and Hampton East Brighton, I think our first Starting XI can have the week off.
Four wins are definitely possible. As long as we retain at least 7-8 first team Starting XI players in Melbourne, and 3-4 Starting XI in the Honiara hub, we should be able to handle both competitions.4 wins will be amazing, not impossible mind you.
We got a bit lucky with Altona being reduced to 10 men but it still required the young players to stand up and play.Lets wait for the squads to come out before we declare results. Absolutely agree 7-8 starters have to remain. The teams we put out against Hume and Altona will not win at gully or thunder.
Nobody is "declaring" anything take it easy .. just stating they are winnable matches even with a 3/4 squad.Lets wait for the squads to come out before we declare results. Absolutely agree 7-8 starters have to remain. The teams we put out against Hume and Altona will not win at gully or thunder.
Bonada for NPL is key for these games i would argue! Eliopoulos menelaou also here! Do you keep Lopez is another question to balance side ldft behind? Mikkola out has created a bit of a dilemma...Lets wait for the squads to come out before we declare results. Absolutely agree 7-8 starters have to remain. Im in 3 minds still..Nobody is "declaring" anything take it easy .. just stating they are winnable matches even with a 3/4 squad.
NPL over OFC for me.. there is almost NO chance of us not making the top 3 in OFC now even if we drop points here or there... save the "hail Mary" squad until the SF-Final hub and then go all out... By then, hopefully, we've solidified our table position and sorted out who lies where in NPL ...Bonada for NPL is key for these games i would argue! Eliopoulos menelaou also here! Do we go full out this hub and cement second spot and possibly drop points these 2 games in NPL with mediocre side... or do we go take these points (NPL) here and then drop/rest vs preston choakleigh who are focus on NPL anyway and we can deal with come finals so we dont burn playrs out by that stage and risk comgestion at OFC top of table? Orrrrr do we half bake both split the squad and perhaps suffer in 2 fronts and have to make ground up in final hub???
Im leaning towards the first option personally... thoughts?
What is interesting is that whatever dilemna's we had during the Australia based OFC HUB are greatly accentuated now that half our club is based overseas for the next 3 hubs.NPL over OFC for me.. there is almost NO chance of us not making the top 3 in OFC now even if we drop points here or there... save the "hail Mary" squad until the SF-Final hub and then go all out... More interested to know if Sinisa or Sam (or both) flew outI think Javi stayed behind and Mikkola probably injured for a month. No idea on rest of squad.
For me Lopez must stay in Melbourne. That is non-negotiable.I think Javi stayed behind and Mikkola probably injured for a month. No idea on rest of squad.
