No, it’s for gambling. Las Vegas is the gambling capital of the world so it’s just a way to get American gamblers on board, and partly to grow rugby league in the US.

I was always of the view that league should've focused on Canada if they wanted to grow the game in North America.

Yes it eventually went tits up due to Covid and the team owner went a bit silly but the Toronto Wolfpack week in week out were pulling crowds that rivalled all but two Sydney NRL clubs in a decrepit high school standard stadium playing in the English lower leagues in a country where the game was hithertho non-existent.

That tells me there is some appetite for the game there.

Unless the club was big enough to play at BMO Field, yes.

The Wolfpack's old ground, Lamport Stadium has a dome that goes over it in winter which significantly decreases its capacity.
