Anyways I watched the video. Obviously the exposure and the effort they are going to is really good but found it quite boring otherwise but it's something to follow

Speaking of “Plastics”, South are moving in a plastic direction with the OFC thing and being a “Foundation Club” in the Championship rather than winning the league and getting in on merit no? Problem again, is that for someone with zero interest beyond bagging this end you spend a hell of a lot of time here either as an AL apologist, posting unecessarily on the SMFC forum or trying to convince us your mate Flogari is in it for the 'good of the game'... all the while playing stupid thinking it covers you! Rest assured it doesnt though!

More time on AL at reddit id suggest,) again, its more your style over there as we have said before!

The reason is that the sport is called Soccer in this country long before any of the new dawn stopped watching AFL and NRL and it will again long after the return to their boganball pastimes.

When the sport was introduced in this country it was called “ football”, the term” soccer “ had not been coined at that stage. The country of your heritage, also call it football. Strange that you don’t.

oddly enough I started calling it soccer again since moving to the uk, but that is mostly because people think I mean afl when I talk about australian football

Yeah I really don't care anymore. "Soccer" is just easier here, and "football" either seems forced or people laugh at it. I've always had to flip flop depending on who I'm talking to, and I just can't be arsed anymore. I going full time "soccer" now

I think the push for "football" was because "soccer" was a dirty word 20 years ago, and the suits thought "football" would lend us more respect. And maybe it did serve its purpose, but I don't think it matters anymore. Our sport has grown and moved on in a few areas since then.

When I was born it was soccer in Australia... I dont get the angst, but happy to piss off the plastics.
