Your unpopular football opinion?

Bruno is overrated, and just as much part of the problem at United
Zim
Look he is a good player amongst many not around him but he’s letting the frustration get to him game by game since last season.
He shouldn’t be captain as well it doesn’t suit him whatsoever.
His ego is his worst enemy but have to say he doesn’t stand out with the Portugal shirt like he has in epl games.

I agree. I hate players with attitude like his. In saying that, he is also considered undroppable. So whilst the system doesn't suit him, he won't be dropped. As a result, we are forced to play him, which in turn affects us. I would have shipped him off to Saudi. I'm in the minority of United fans though. Say Bruno should be dropped, sold, or not captain, on many United threads, and you'd get slaughtered

Oh for sure for those supporters are desperate and can’t see past their demands of winning and see him as the best player.

Amorim is in the position of do I get crucified or not as well - he hasn’t the balls it seems.

I’m with you on all fronts but glad it’s still the status quo.

Not using the names of positions gives me the shits. Using numbers for positions, or terms like "double pivot" which has crept into the vernacular in recent years. I'm sure people are saying it just to sound cool, but it's bloody annoying.

you do save a few syllables compared to "two defensive midfielders"

Yeah all these new tactical created position names. Ask them what is means. The response 'it's a pivot that's double.'

Haha, I actually thought about that but saved syllables using "two DMs"!
And numbers belong on guernseys, not positions 😄
six is 4 less syllables than a defensive midfielder to be fair

trying to find that quote by rob sherman where he said he felt Australians using the term "that player is a 6" as one of his achievements. Said it on Lucy Zelic's youtube channel which is blocked here in uk for some reason

instead found this banger interview with Rob where he comes across in a more flattering light

I think sometimes these tactical videos you see on YouTube are just some nerd looking far too deep into it.

Like when you get some film jerk going on about the hidden meaning in the framing of shots of Parasite blah blah blah - reverse analysing

Pretending pep is a next level genius. Of course the guy is smart but his greatest tactic was having Messi and letting him do basically what he wanted 😂

Perhaps we could incorporate AFL terminology, and talk about "quicks" and "talls".

I love it when the NRL try and co-opt football terminology and rabbit on about the 'spine' of a team. Not a bad effort for a sport where both sides face each other laterally to the field.

I wish they'd go back to numbers 1-11 on the pitch.

"Picked at left back this weekend and in the number 2 jersey, Joe Bloggs, crowd noise etc".

How come it took Argentina so long to win a world cup then?
