I've specifically said "ALM" because the women's league might be better off elsewhere or possibly go their own way according to the PFA.

You can have two selections.

Don't forget to consider who would allow a free to air element.

There are probably 2 ways of looking at this. From the viewers point of view and from the leagues point of view.
As a viewer it comes down to price, video quality and availability.
From the leagues point of view you have to factor in things like reach and potential growth.

Basic pricing comparisons (minimum base prices, most charge more for 4K, more concurrent devices, etc):
  • P+ — $7.99/month
  • Stan Sport — $20/month for Stan plus $12/month for Stan Sport
  • Kayo — $30/month
  • ESPN — Disney+ is the cheapest way to get ESPN $15.99/month
  • Amazon Prime — $9.99/month
  • DAZN — $14.99/month (if paid annually) / $29.99/monthly
  • beIN — $15.99/month
  • Foxtel Now — $58/month
  • AppleTV — $15.99/month

Fuck Foxtel, no wonder nobody uses it anymore. $58 a month is insane.

Currently watching the Women's Melbourne Derby and the video quality on Paramount+ is bullshit. Very pixelated.

Put the big games on free to air.

Youtube for free with Czech vpn.
If the AL ends up on one of those more expensive options or has a 12mth min contract, then I'll definitely be going back to using a VPN. I'm already paying for the VPN anyway.

So many people have Kayo, yet it becomes more and more unattractive:

They've got things like NRL which can hold interested customers to ransom. Some games on FTA but if you want to see your team every week...Could just go down to local club and sit in their sports beer and have one beer and you'd still be ahead after 4 weeks.

Kayo now cutting off account sharing. Looks like some folks prices will jump up double or triple!

I'd be happy with Stan if they didn't charge extra for every different league. I also want to see a change in the presenters and broadcasters. Bozza and Slater are old now. Need refreshing.

Assume most on the forum are aware that Warner Brothers are the subject of a take over war with Netflix's and Paramount being the bidders.

Further Paramount itself was fairly recently taken over by Sky Dance, mostly owned by Larry Ellison. Ellison is one of the wealthiest people in the world.

Under Ellison and current Paramount management, sport especially Football has become a sort after show.

I do wonder aloud if the global push by Paramount into Football will result in first a decent bid for the next rights and second promotion of the a-league more in line with how 7 n 9, promote their codes.

That does make me feel old, lol.

Even though the bloke's a tosser, Mark Bosnich was one of my childhood footballing heroes.

For me a would be happier if Paramount got the EPL and Champions league would more than likely double the subscription but at least we would all be on one place again

Yep I agree.

I wish all football was on Paramount+

thats the thing - I like them all despite them having dummy spits/stupid comments - any of the GG are ok to me - you take their crap with a grain of salt.
Add in Ned and whoever else - ones that break my chops who is utterly bad is Archie bloody Tompson, top shelf cringe.
No diff anywhere else mind you re ex players being pundits - you have the good and not so good.
Phil bloody Neville such a tossa.
So we're getting old at the same time anyone younger needs to have earned the "cred" not many to date.

Oh Fav broadcaster - well sorry as most know I'm not a regular APL viewer - only got P+ minus :) for Roo games initially/Europa etc.
Be great having football with one broadcaster but not going to happen - I have no care which tbh as long as its not too much a rip off.

Remember the awards ceremony held at places like Star Casino etc for Alex Tobin medals and coach of the year/Golden boot etc, Well going by Robbie Slater that still wont be back as award nights will be done on the cheap once again using facetime and influence's to host the streaming event to cut cost and shown on Paramount +. He did say the APL have been trying to find a sponsor to hold the event but have come up short.
I don't get it, The NPL have them hosted at a venue, AFL and NRL and Cricket not to mention Netball and Super Rugby.
