I've enjoyed watching the re run of Goolagong doco last few nights.

Is the de Minaur game cancelled or what ?

Looking forward watching the Joker tonight.

When you are done watching the joker Djokovic is playing tonight mate

I've been watching a bit of the tennis tonight. Rather than referring to the Australian Open they annoying call it the AO. I wonder if the pattern will continue for the French Open?

watched a bit of de Minaur comeback last night.

Not sure its me but I find it quite ho hum - glad to hear McEnroe though in the commentry.
Oh to have players like his style and beasty attitude on the court.
Go the Joker, Go Sinner - not fussed which but my wish they keep going all the way.
Sabalenka the beast to win womens fingers crossed :)

got to say thats a joke when at those temps - for any pro sport.

De Minaur in a world of trouble against Alcaraz. Lost the first two sets 7-5, 6-2 and down 2-0 in a third.

well sorry for AdM but you saw the diff when playing one of the best atm.
He's a fighter no doubt but lacks that added edge to compete - lacks "powa" on his forehand, its not low trajectory enough with punch, can't take that winning shot enough when he has his opponent on the back foot.
How many times @ 30luv on Alcaraz serve but just couldn't match his fightback each time.
Hope he works on his game and gets up that next level - QF loss payment of $750K not bad for a over a weeks work.

Couple more good QF's coming up today.

Also over the years and probably decades I've heard people say that the Australian Open is ranked 4th as far as the four majors go, I'd have to disagree....

I think only Roland Garros offers more intrigue and whilst Wimbledon is the most prestigious due to it's due to its deep history, unique traditions and status as the "crown jewel" of tennis, the AO is probably the best all round grand slam of the four.

It never disappoints as a spectacle, it's great facilities and general ambience with the fans.

Wimbledon is indisputably number 1. A tad biased but I find the Australian Open number 2 because the organisation is generally top notch. Some crowd issues this year but it's always a very positive vibe around Melbourne Park.

The US Open has faded for me and Roland Garos is French arrogant clay crap. Can't stand it. The vast majority don't enjoy clay.

Wimbledon
Garos
AO
US

That’s my ranking.
I can’t deny the semis were great but greatest ?
I can’t confirm it for I have watched just as epics over the years
Rafa
The Fed
Joker
Sampras v courier
Agassi v Sampras
Nadal v Fed
Joker v Nadal

Any of these 5 set epics rate just as much imo.
I’d mention some earlier epics but too old for some of you.

Sadly I expect the young fella to win this even though I’d luv the Joker doing so.
