This is now who is going to blink first. Israel is getting pounded by missiles by the way but no one wants to spoil the one sided narrative. Iran is getting pounded as well however they figure they'll wait for economic pressure from the markets to get the orange idiot to end this ridiculous war. I give this nonsense 1-2 months.

Maybe before launching missiles you should be certain of your fucking targets. An accident is dropping a glass. An accident is not launching a fucking missile. It’s a crime.

Problem is of course, autocratic regimes do not depend on their leaders alone. They get their strength from the vast bureaucracies and security apparatuses under the leader and the complicity of individuals down the chain of command.....

So they just replace the leader, which Iran has done and it's business as usual!!

And the problem with that is the US is not signatory to the International Criminal Court or it's statutes, so while it sometimes co-operates with it on specific cases, but it formally asserts that the court has no authority over Americans....

It's the same with Putin. Russia have been in breach of international law for years, but it's a pointless exercise citing the ICC influence on a particular conflict if any if the participants aren't signatory to the statutes....
 
Israel bombing Hezbollah militant strongholds on Bekaa Valley fine. I have no problems with that. Hezbolla deserve it, they have been constantly shelling towns in Northern Israel for the past 3 years.

Beirut City?

No. Too many civilians getting affected.

Israel is too trigger happy in these civilian areas but a ground war is virtually impossible....

Needs a more refined military intelligence approach targeting high level Hezbollah operatives and leaders.

Mossad could effectively wipe out the higher echelons of Hezbollah but it would become a time consuming operation.

Carpet bombing is the easy way out!

They don't care. They also know it will just make more people gravitate towards Hezbollah.

The cycle of violence keeps their stock shares up and them in power.

Depends on one's circumstances with cost of living as that's the massive pressure on a lot of people.

What I don't get is we're being told we're not going to have jobs due to AI but we're also going to have a major shortfall of workers when there should be plans for people to shift into other fields.

There are ads for sponsored jobs at petrol stations in rural areas. This isn't highly skilled labour and should never be used for bringing more people in. Rural living is starting to feel the greed too but if people are fed up with city life then there needs to be a cultural change of people flocking to towns. It'll bring new challenges but it's a change.
 
Not exactly the right thread but the past years nearly everything has become a piss take in regards to taking one's job or responsibilities seriously. Has it just crept through to the average person due to politicians and management not caring? Despite that it does my head in how dismissive staff are for public transport, public services and customer service are. Just so much more casual and lax that the cracks are permissive to society cracking even more.

Stewards at Bundesliga games used to be serious while now it's just warm bodies in a vest doing nothing.
