The story for why they started this and goals has shifted so much already. Now it's not apparently regime change, but to stop a nuclaar bomb reaching the US (which apparently they achieved only a few months ago)

If it's all propaganda why would you even follow any story arc then? Isn't it great that regime change is being let up to the Iranians then? As if regime overthrow would ever be possible without external help. Obliterating the regime gives at least a chance that the population can try to instill change but even then it was always going to be a challenging road ahead. A chance is all the people wanted.

I was refering to the planes shot down..

As for the second part, they are not there to stop the regime.

That would take years, billions of dollars and forces on the ground. Don't try to make this a feel good story from Israel and the yanks. Netanyahu just wants chaos.

It's clear the iranian ppl are just going to get fucked over again.
 
Seriously though, has any goal of this be stated by the US?

I am skeptical it's 'regime change', as they'd need to have a functioning government already organised to lead, and/or a new constitution written.

It would also take a lot of intervention and resources to effectively implement.
Indeed... Trumps vague "rise up people of Iran" is a smokescreen .... Why this happened now and not 10 years ago is suss as fuck...

History has been kind to Churchill. Never forget who was responsible for the Gallipoli disaster.
 
The timing of Venezuela and Maduro actions make more sense now. Get some control over that oil knowing they were going to kick the ME ant nest and throw it all into turmoil.

Yes the same, like democracy, he was far from perfect, an alcoholic, war monger, like Quickly says add Gallipoli & even India (massive famine), both during WW1, not his proudest moments, they say the victor gets the spoils.

Curios person to quote the opinion of, especially knowing your affinity for rock paintings... nevertheless, personally I think there is a special place in hell for the man and hope his dirty colonialist soul rots there eternally.

I was quoting his saying, more highlighting that while democracy is superior to dictatorships or totalitarian regimes, it is not without it's imperfections.

As for my affinity for rock painting, I have a thing for history that far exceeds Europe's history.

Fair enough.. Again not someone that I would quote in regards to dictatorships or envy of them perhaps.
