World news and politics.

People supporting the invasion of a sovereign nation when it’s an ally doing it but not when it is “enemies”. The hypocrisy is astounding. Disgraceful.
I think that's why the term ally is used. You're likely on the same side. Not every conflict is symmetrical though.

South American nations condemning but I doubt it's genuine because it's like the big bully taking out the annoying bully in the playground.

Despite the somewhat streamlined operation here, I don't buy into the theory that Maduro accepting an offer of safe passage. Possible though.

Is it get killed in your home country and or face charges elsewhere? Where was the Venezuelan air and sea defence? Parts of the regime must have permitted this.

The United States would never release him but there was also the idea that he'd be passed on elsewhere to be in exile but there will be charges brought against him and his own regime and opposition will undoubtedly be called in to testify.

Parties and politicians on the left world wide strongly condemning the US operation only for Venezuelans telling them to fuck off is pure cinema. The rest meanwhile urging caution. EU very cautious not to upset the US as they've insisted Maduro go for a while too.

Are you Latino by any chance?

Social media posts from parties and members popping up. Basically they're being told by Venezuelans to sort their own issues out and it's their ilk that put them in this mess. Socialist parties worldwide are shrieking at this today. German politicians being laughed at for how little the international stage really cares for their words.

Venezuelans celebrating the world over. It's an opportunity, not a guarantee. I'm not expecting much but for the current ruling group to continue then dupe another election.

Everyone can just bomb everyone and put in power who they want.

Colombia next? Sure it’s a democracy but who gives a fuck in yanks eyes. He’s a lefty!

Not exactly true.

I am talking to friends in Valencia, Venezuala right now and they are very, very scared and worried

Outside of Venezuala venzualans are celebrating sure, many inside are frightened. And they all know America want their resources and that's why they did this

Laughable to think all the venezulans wanted to be bombed by americans. Just simple isnlt true despite what conservative influencers tell you.

This day was inevitable. How was Venezuela before all this? It's described as being comparatively much better off.

This operation was just a scrape and those wanting change would be fine with the minimally invasive operation it took. This was much better than fighter jet strikes and ground troops. In and out.

Those inside the country can hope that elections will come but the group in power will try their best to rig it. It's highly ironic or maybe convenient the opposition leader is a nobel peace prize winner.

I suppose nobel prizes are now corrupt in the eyes of the socialists as one of their states is under threat.

You’re supporting the theft of oil. Simple as that.

They don’t produce drugs.

America is going to run the country in the interest’s of oil shareholders.

If this is laughably about ‘democracy’ now I look forward to them invade the whole of Africa, half of Asia and all of the Middle East this year.

An anarchist group has claimed responsibility for a blackout affecting 45000 homes in South West Berlin. Crazily the authorities can't put their finger on restoring power just yet and the message is it could be days.

Just shows what's taken for granted as there's no electricity and very few have heating but this is a common occur in other parts of the world. Sub-zero temps currently also.

A city ruined by garbage politics.

It's not so much about the nobel peace price but more so that she is a staunch zionist who supports a genocide and has even said she would move the embassy to Jerusalem, thereby creating even bigger issues in the region.

She's a Zionist muppet.

On the side, there's also the issue of invading a country and forcing your rule on them. The US has a habit of doing this and all it has done is bring more instability and turmoil to the country. They go in under the guide of bringing "freedom" when in actual fact they are just there to install someone who will help them, can pillage the resources, and leave the country worse for wear. None of what they do will go back to the people. So many countries have terrible leaders, but nothing has been done about it.

People being happy to see the back of Maduro is not the same as them supporting america coming and stealing their resources (gold as much as oil)

I believe you but apart from a few ME news sites the rest are all blog posts about her views. Interesting this isn't being reported across the media now to tarnish her image and pose the question that Venezuelans may not enjoy being under someone like her.

Venezuela was comparatively very well off before the socialist take over so now the people can see there is a chance for some change there. The United States has also flipped the balance energy distribution which puts pressure on China and Russia. Numerous South American countries were glad of the removal as drugs and crime has spread through their nations too.

The United States doesn't always leave countries worse off. Panama is better than it was before. Of course the country is still broken in many ways. Iraq suffered for so many years and has its issues still but who knows what the alternative might have been? These places are busy fighting themselves regardless. It's not entirely down to the United States. Some countries just fail being left to their own devices. South Korea and Vietnam have thrived.

Why would the western media publish her views? It serves the opposite of their purpose. Trump has already threatened the interim President. This is not a democratic take over, it's a coup.

No one is saying Venezuela was a utopia and that there were bad elements, but to claim that this is about restoring democracy and peace, and stopping drug trade is absolutely false. They've already said out loud that they will control the oil (that is not theirs) want the Zionist in charge, and will be ready to attack anyone that opposes them. It's not got anything to do with the people of Venezuela. They saw nationalisation and less money in their pockets, so they decided to enact a coup. How can Maduro stand trial in America? He committed no crimes there, and it's a violation of international law.

Oh, so because it's not as broken, it's ok. Iraq was left in ruins. They did absolutely nothing for the people. They came in, bombed the place up, stole the gold and oil and then pissed off. They did absolutely nothing to support rebuilding the place and helping the people. Can pain this up in whichever way you want, but the truth is that this has nothing to do with democracy and everything to do with the oil, and resources in the country, that the US now has its hands on and will make money off of, and the people will see nothing of it.
