Women's Asian Cup match discussion thread

Why can't we just control it at the death. It's only a short pass to the next person. We belt it down to them or do solo runs and get lost.

Teams need to have better late game tactics.
I seriously see 90% of female and male teams do this.

This was an entertaining thread last night 😎
You know when you're watching a game of football on the telly and the commentators are dribbling shit to each other about some complete irrelevance, that was this thread. It's a tried and tested formula.

Yeah one of those games where Taiwan had a few chances but in the end China were to dominant

Certainly a big gap between the top 5 Womens Asian teams and the rest. Good to see Taiwan defending well and tiring the Chinese for us :)
Oh yeah for sure. It’s part of what makes the quarter-finals interesting. Two big sides will play each other but only one can make it through. Unfortunately nobody else stands a chance though.

Absolutely. Taking them to extra time is a good effort, but I think Taiwan just got too tired and thus crumbled in extra time. No Wang Shuang for China though.

South Korea defeated Uzbekistan 6-0 and Japan ran out 7-0 winners over the Philippines in the other set of quarterfinals played at Stadium Australia. Alanna Kennedy leads the race for the Golden Boot on five goals at the conclusion of the quarterfinals after both Myong Yu-jong and Kiko Seike failed to score in their respective matches, but is now tied with Riko Ueki after she scored in the 90th minute of Japan's quarterfinal win.
