Amy Sayer's been going very well for the Matildas in recent times and should definitely be a regular starter in midfield ahead of Emily van Egmond.

No, I’m saying once he changes his status, he’s locked in. Won’t even need to play.

Ok so I’m kind of both right and wrong.

As per the FIFA Statutes:
“A player may, only once, request to change the association for which he is eligible to play to the association of another country of which he holds nationality.”

AND

“A request to change association may be withdrawn. Any such withdrawal is irrevocable.”

So once someone changes AND plays ANY game for the new country, they are tied.

Well there have been a lot of these awkward games since we have moved to asia and they arent the sort of game that make u fall in love with football

Alright… we won! Not the best performance though. Need to improve on A LOT for the next games. Obviously anyone can win a tournament, Japan beat Spain 4–0 at the World Cup in the opener and Spain won the World Cup.

What do you guys think should change? Personally, we need to be better at subs, need to finish better and should play the right 11. Coulda won if Wheels stayed on.

I too have seen her play, she’s amazing and we’re blessed to have her. No she doesn’t know where to watch Damallsvenskan games though (yes I actually asked once, yes I watch too much football).

Sam Kerr cannot be a sole striker for the Matildas and needs support from another striker like Holly Mac or Kahli Johnson, and definitely agree that we need to be more clinical in finishing because we can't afford to miss easy chances especially against South Korea or when knockout football rolls around.

To be fair we can’t really predict the tournament off one game as previous tournaments have shown. We CAN still win this. But we MUST improve.

Mark Tocaso’s approach would be to limit the number of goals scored against them so in that respect he has done very well.

We did win!

We could have won by more than just the one goal though if our shot conversion was better and ultimately for and against may determine our path through the knockout stage with only top two from each group progressing along with the two best third-placed sides.
