What grinds my gears.

That todays main topic of dissent seems to be this fundamental "battle" between right and left when BOTH sides have no real idea what they are arguing for or against.

Meanwhile a bunch of fat greedy corporations are gleefully rubbing their hands together making more and more money off the huddled masses.

Yep. It's all the immigrant's fault. Too lazy to work and on welfare and put up in hotels but stealing all of our jobs and buying our houses at the same time.

They would be loving this 'look over here' stuff stoked by a compliant media, thanks Uncle Rupert, and Russian and Chinese bots.

Just about every clown at these marches are directing their energies at the wrong targets.

People who give way in traffic when they aren't supposed to (I get they're trying to be nice), which in turn holds up traffic more because no one knows what's going on and it comes to a standoff.

As long as they aren't harming others. The fish rots at the head. If they lead by shit example, we're all screwed.

Animal abuse is another. Those people are meant for our other thread about "trees". Like greyhound owners kicking their dogs to oblivion. I'd like to do the same to those owners.

Whatever happened to sartorial elegance?

I went to this organised dinner at a very nice French restaurant in Brisbane on Saturday evening. Whilst the ladies present were all quite beautifully dressed I noticed that many of the guys were not.

If you're going to wear a nice suit or maybe just a sports jacket with trousers then why spoil it with a pair of white sneakers or multi-coloured running shoes? Okay so this thing was a bit of an arty farty affair but what's wrong with putting on a pair of shoes?

A nice pair of suede brogues or a pair of loafers you're trying to look slightly informal?

Fucken runners with a suit? 🤮

Couldn't agree more. Nice suit with an el cheapo shirt with the tie hanging out the collar at the back. I'm talking weddings and similar. You've gone to the effort of wearing a suit and your shoes are all scuffed and look like you've grabbed them off a hobo, your shirt is from k mart and your tie is not done right.

the NO socks and shorter length slacks/pants does my head got to say seeing groom and groomsmen.
OK I get it at a less important occasion BUT seriously ? do you think your that cool to get away with that plus you donkey there you are IF at a religous one front and centre of all looking like a pack of gits on stage - depending your build/weight also it really doesn't suit some.
I expect they would look at photos latter and think omg fark I look like a right royal twat haha
and the always shirt never tucked in nowadays - I put my hand up I do go to smart casual engagements but a formal one ?
