Nigeria and Colombia currently scoreless at the half, as it stands Nigeria are going through to the knockouts as the fourth best third placed side and the Young Socceroos will be grouped.

Just to confirm, a 2-0 win to Colombia would see us go through right? On a real knife edge!
 
Aonother danger lurks. Saudi just eequalised against Norway. If Saudis score again with no reply from Norway, they'll end up with 3 points in 3rd with minus 1 goal difference and so will be ahead of us...

Sorry, disregard that - Saudi would still finish 4th cos they lost to Nigeria. Head to head result is 1at criterion to separate tied teams in group. So back to COL v NIG. Nigerians have hit Colombian woodwork 3 times

That poster can tend to see the negative in others' posts, rather than positives. Nobody 'liked' his comment directed at you. It was ignored.

When Grazor flippantly responded to said nameless poster, plenty of posters supported Grazor's response to the put down.

Keep posting, mate. The vast majority welcome newer supporters of football.

You can take the moral high ground and if he posts in cricket, him being likely to have an inferior knowledge to your vast cricket knowledge, welcome his contribution!

Thanks a bunch for posting these stats, Socceroosmad.

I compile stats a lot. They have significance for me.

The stats tend to reflect what I thought was the balance of the first 2 games in particular, where I watched replays. We probably didn't deserve to win against Italy based on possession, territory, shots at goal and shots on target.

I thought Overy did quite well on the left at LB against Arg, who were the toughest opponent.

After that stats break down, I don't think we did quite enough to draw with Italy. They were the better side. I can accept not qualifying.

We looked good against Cuba, but haven't watched the final 20 mins yet.
