You realise these guys are just fans and in NO WAY does anything they say represent the club? Or anything I say for that matter...

You are new to football eh?
Like it or not, fans do represent the clubs they support and they behaviour, whether it be at the ground, in the community or on social media affects how their are clubs are perceived by the football community and the broader general public as a whole.

Easy to say when you are just copying the signature of the previous post ;)

I guess we'll have to agree to disagree to some extent then... Ive come across absolutely, rabidly, feral fans from pretty much all of the clubs in this country, doesn't change my perception of the clubs themselves though... you do you I suppose.

When you were young and your club was an open book
The auditors looked at them and said
Live and let live
you know they did, you know they did
But in these broke APL times in which we live in
They said we're no longer giving it a try
Live and let die !!!!
I am so happy I inadvertently inspired this!

weird we don't have a sydney fc thread? You @Robbos @Sharkman84 should start one

I believe unless a young player comes from no where you guys now have the best cb in Alex Grant and best left back. Right back looking a slight weakness as I'd expect grant to be at an age where he declines but if you stay fit your defense has gone from a weakness to a strength

I think Okon offers more in defense than sena too, but only have u20s football to go off
I have started one now.

Was just overseas the past week and one of the western players (well former obviously) was staying there. Won’t say who, but was a lovely guy and also said that on his experience it was probably the best all round club as in people he’d played at.

He’s played for a number of teams abroad and here and said they didn’t have much but said at the end of the day all the money stuff sucks because they actually were building something good and the team and culture was really outstanding.

Good note to leave this thread on

That Western area of Melbourne/ Victoria does have life in it... the amount of Geelong and surrounding suburbs with clubs North Geelong, Geelong, Corio, Tarneit, , Werribee, Hoppers crossing, Altona x3, Williamstown all a stones throw away from one another. That plus having so much young talent in their academy and the great people and culture they have seemingly built behind the club would be a horrible outcome if they don't come out of hibernation!!

Maybe they will surprise everyone, start building the stadium, and return in two seasons in the Werribee Wembley they promised?

I love it when people post after MCG tries to shut this thread down again :)

Edit: Just saw I had melbcityguy's 'initials' wrong. Fixed.

Questions as we approach the Aus Championship and ALM / ALW seasons:
Will the hibernation continue?
Will Football Victoria issue NPL a license to WU?
Could WU operate out of existing stadium in the short term?
