APL will let this drag as lonnnng as they possibly can before switching the light out.
Got to be soon regards to releasing the coming draw.
Licencing is handled by FA. If APL want the club continue they will need to find a buyer ASAP, or fund the club themselves.

What I want to know is will they be playing their VPL1 semi final next weekend or does Brunswick just walk into the playoff final by default?

Or was their 8 nil spanking by the Georgies the clubs final "contribution" to football in Australia?

A-Leagues licence is separate from the NPL licence, so it's hard to say. None of the articles have mentioned the NPL licence being revoked.

Sort of sums up Soccer in this country. The disconnect between the abomination (it’s time to call it that!) known as the A League and the rest of us normal people is so stark that the NPL element of an entity that is involved in both is NEVER mentioned!

Dig himself a grave, the disgusting traitor bastard.

I’d love to know whether it was him or Aki Pehlivanis who tried to get access to Lakeside behind South’s back!
I heard it was Pehlivanis who made the phone call to Nick to "give us the heads up" that they were taking over Lakeside for 7 weeks..... lol

Probably explains why he didnt last at Football Victoria for long, only so much Aki could shield him from...

Don't worry in the womens game, they just re-branded Calder United... they can go back to their original colours now...

No different to the English system. The EPL and the EFL are not governed by the same body, however they are both regulated by the FA, much like here.

It's possible, but also possible that that is just another thing that never got across the line.
Im pretty sure, in the original FA announcement the language was around the "club license" being withdrawn thus Western United not being able to participate in any FA sanctioned leagues .. I took that as meaning men's, women's and NPL teams?

Don’t be surprised if other clubs take on temporary ownership of WUFC until new owners are found. Been done before.

Don't think they'll be doing that again. It took them way too long to sell the Jets last time. Over the last couple years the APL have been reducing expenditure as much as possible. I reckon if there are genuine reasonable offers from clubs like Sth Melbourne and Preston, then the APL would definitely be exploring those options above funding a nothing club for who knows how long.
