The Sydney FC Thread

Old man Mata still silky as, quality is enduring. Sydney FC without a playmaker at all, the constant side to side & even in the opposition box is unbelievable despite them coming back from 2 goals down. Entertaining match though and the massive storms never eventuated so we stayed dry.

Imagine if we signed Juan Mata instead of our rivals who shall not be named, while still keeping Douglas Costa (in this alternate universe the Brazilian child support scandal never happened) and still signed Marcel Tisserand. Other fans might hate us even more but we’d be like the Temu version of Inter Miami!

He's denying it, of course.

No conversations have happened, so the reality is, this is what makes the game go around,” he said.

“Speculation and rumours are the best part of it, I’m an off-contract coach at the end of the season, but my focus is to finish well here.

“We want to go all the way and I think we’re in a great position to do that.” - LOL

He added: “Nothing weighs on my mind. The reality is I’m an off contract coach, I need to make decisions about my future and where I stand.

“I also need to make decisions on what is best for my family, like players do, so that’s the reality of football.

“My focus is to finish off strongly here and have those discussions down the track later.”

He should of been stood down after the Singapore crash out.

With Kisnorbo, he has these games to prove himself, hopefully the club are still geninuely looking in case these 6-9 weeks aren't great.

Kisnorbo?????? Well that means that SFC are now contenders for the bottom 3. Clubs never learn.
What are you on about?

Kisnorbo's record in the A-League is pretty good. Did the double in his first season at City and then had the Grand Final loss to the ill-fated Western United, then had five wins, one draw and only loss during his short spell at Victory.

In the A League his record is good( oh wait him dumping Victory mid season :ROFLMAO: ), his recent record not so much.

Crazy situation. So random. Instantly replaced too. Seems like they had this planned for a while.

Even if he doesn’t actually go to Wanderers I feel like the rumours of him being in talks with them certainly played a part in the decision.
Seems to me they figured that he had either signed out West or was in advanced talks with them lieu of next season which is fair enough as him and his agent knows the vibe isn't good so preparing for next season is prudent. Sydney had been lining up someone I imagine for next season but recent poor form meant that they needed to move now, another season with no finals for Sydney FC would be unacceptable.
