The Suits thread

I like the title MCG and right up ally :)
Isn’t there a FA thread or something as such ?

Johnson says one of his biggest regrets during his time at FA was not being involved in operating the A Leagues which, for me, is the main reason football is still divided. He seems to have had the state federations on the same page but not so the APL.
Perhaps the new FA CEO can bridge that gap but I’m not holding my breath.

as much I don't wish to be the ongoing scrouge, calling this Landmark sure shows desparate headlines......
Landmark - I would consider towards annoucement of a peace pipe with the FA or alliance towards the games unity of the Pro and Semi pro thats needed for eg or something quite more significant for the game.
Alas good on the FSA as mentioned in another thread the other week.

What an amazing coincidence that Australia instead of a Middle East is now an ideal place for him to "contribute" to the local game.
as much as its always typical shooting down a tall poppy as we do I see this as some Hope for our game and influence to the FA I would hope for the better of the game.

Running a sports academy is a different kettle of fish to administering a football federation. Sure he would be a good front man I suppose however scuttling off the middle east for the Qatari dollarydoo's doesn't speak to me of someone who has ever been particularly engaged with the challenges of the pyramid here in Australia.

Tim Cahill would bring experience to the director of men's football role having been previously capped as a Socceroos player and their leading all-time goalscorer but Football Australia are no stranger to questionable appointments and will probably want Gary van Egmond in charge of women's football also.
