Our attacking options might not be as dire as I thought. Grimaldi was a very astute pickup. I was sceptical about Jelacic, but he does know how to finish. Grimaldi and a fit Nish could be a very exciting combination.

Mata starting was a surprise. You could see he was trying hard to get Vergos into the game. On another day, Vergos scores. If Mata can play a lot of minutes, he might bring out the best in Vergos
Great summary. What did you think of the Jackson Rawlings pairing? I barely noticed Rawlings which I take as good. Jackson was dominant in the air but suspect with the ball at his feet. I'd put a hard press on him if I were the opposition manager.

Jackson looks ok, he's not great but a decent A League CB. I just don't like his passing out from the back, he seems to default to long ball options (perhaps a Diles instruction) and he rarely plays a good long ball.

I wonder if we should consider playing 3 at the back when Miranda returns...?

W/o having seen the vid(& frankly I’ve more interesting things to do than that), I can only conclude neither of those two peons has gotten any action in a hot minute..if ever👀
I think they probably found your typical nuffie off Reddit for that vid.

Hard to tell where MV are at this season after the start so far.

Preseason was good, start to league has been shite.

Need nish back.

Things were clicking v Perth. If Mata, Genreau and Valadon play a lot its a pretty powerful midfield.

I've enjoyed Grimaldi and Jelacic starts to the season too. I hope January comes with a shiny new 9 to push Vergos.

Don't understand why the club sent this kid on one of the biggest radio stations. Was mata unavailable?
