Anything on the rumour-mill re. signing a striker, or just bc of our recent vein of form Daddy Diles is now like ‘fvck it, we’re good as is’❓

We wanted Duke but missed out. I reckon we'd still be looking for one.

Mata has been amazing to watch. He'd be the best player in the league atm. It's great to see a smart player like Velupillay combine with him.

A lot of people will claim that Mata is responsible for our turnaround in form. But I disagree, because he was playing well before we broke the drought. I think it comes down to Velupillay and D’Arrigo returning from injury.

I think people forget that Nish was killing it for club and country at one point last season. Popa loves him and I think he’ll be on the plane to the world cup if he can maintain consistency and keep scoring. In hindsight, we missed him badly in last season’s GF.

D’Arrigo has been a surprise packet. I remember him from his Adelaide days, and I thought he would be a squad player at best. But he has had a big impact, and you can see his passion has been contagious. It’s gong to be an interesting homecoming in Adelaide next week.

Agree re: Velupillay and D'Arrigo both. Velupillay is such a clever player.

Mata wasn't bad before but imo he wasn't as influential. He's found his groove and it's improved the whole team.

What combo of D'Arrigo, Valadon, Genreau do we select?

What's the bet it's Ibusuki. Kinda hope it's someone new.

Melbourne Victory sign Japanese attacker Charles Nduka

Sounds like he was discovered by AI:

"Nduka has been identified through the work the Club is engaged in with world-renowned data and insights company, Jamestown Analytics, who also works closely with the likes of Brighton & Hove Albion in the English Premier League, Como 1907, Heart of Midlothian and Royale Union Saint-Gilloise."

Good luck to him regardless, but it irks me the club actually buys into this type of 'elaborate' networking cr@p when they could've just fvcken asked ME for advice instead, smh

A guy w/that seasonal record in the Japanese 3rd-tier doesn't exactly fill one's confidence. I suppose the fun bit of trivia that comes of this is he becomes the 2nd-ever Afro-Japanese to play for the club after Tando Velaphi..
