Code Sports reporting ex Stan Sport CEO is the new FA CEO. German guy called Martin Kugeler.

Also reports Garriock is Deputy CEO and Director of Football.


A lifelong media guy, never seemingly worked in sport before. He's going to have a huge learning curve. My bet is they keep rolling Garriock out.

I think it's likely that Football Australia are splitting the media and football governance as part of the chief exec role so that Martin Kugeler ends up just governing media in addition to sorting out the new broadcast deal and Heather Garriock takes over everything related to the round ball game, especially since the report also hints at the creation of a new director of football role.

Interesting, are we getting closer with Stan now? Hopefully tempting them to submit a bid.
We now have staff from Stan, DAZN, and Paramount+

I won’t be paying their exorbitant subscription fee if the next rights go to Stan.

Martin will still be the boss but the Football side of things is both recognised as critical and given an experienced head of operations.... imo a smart move...
 
"Heather will lead the growth and success of football in Australia end to end from grassroots to the national teams."

Well Heather - my focus will be on you so lets see what you bring to the whole game through your tenure.
