I find it very hard to assess, though i suspect the emphasis on ssg is important. The problem wirh assessing it is that we made so many changes over the last 30 years it is hard to tell what has done what (positive or negative)

Speed, Skill and Great Goalie?
Simulate, Scythe and Grab?
Sex, Sport and Gin?

I always get nervous playing Uruguay before a major tournament. Ray Baartz was felled in his prime. For the young folk:

I think we wont look great against a power house but i doubt we lose anything like 6 nil

So why can't we have a coach who can do a Popovic when it's clear we'll get done 6-0 otherwise, AND do an Ange or a Guus when he sees the opportunity.
