I'd say that the clubs and sponsors are happier to showcased on FTA instead of just streaming, and they're the timeslots SBS want them.

Been a lot or confusion in regards to this. Officially they've stated neutral venues, unofficially the word always was that foundation clubs would host. Absolute piss poor on all fronts.

Are these "home" games for South and Marconi or are the federation pocketing the gate?

No mate, meeting was cancelled last minute so stayed in Melbourne and watched on tellie.... My favourite match if the Championship so far.... edge of mys eat stuff... what drama, last minute equaliser and then that penalties shootout..... just pure cinema...

Like all final's games in Australia, i would say the FA would be taking the gate takings.

Yeah but also there are NO neutral venues... at least in Melbourne, that would be suitable...

They were talking about Home of the Matildas (at least thats what Alexander the Fabulous wants) which is the dumbest thing I ever heard... 800 seats for a national semi final? Only other option is Somers St and thats too far for both sets of fans.

Lakeside, is the only logical option, FA made the right move... Bergers will win anyway and shut their stupid peasant mouths about it next week but until then they are gonna bitch and bitch and bitch.....

even though the general game didn't reach heights I wished for it had all the dramas of a game bundled into 1 !
Unexpected against play Marconi goal - NVS calls, late equaliser, yellow/red cards, ET followed by a 8/9 shootout !!
A friend of ours brought along a newbie for their first football game - they got it all thats for sure and now will be forever let down going to other games ahead lol.....
 
Sat day games arent exactly going to get the crowds.
Game should be friday night sunday arvo 5 or 6
People can watch on sbs on demand
sbs didnt pay anything for the rights

I would of had the game delayed on sbs shown the next day.

We have it easy in this country

Same as the npl as soon as games where shown live crowds have been halved .

I would stop showing games

Olympic games won't be shown on SBS anymore, no need to worry. :P
