I know it might not seem like much to some, but after the past 20 or so years of clubs like Marconi being consigned to being a thing of the past, it’s nice to the club and others like it actively trying to get into the social media space and market themselves to a new generation through their history

Agreed.... Like I said yesterday, the thing I was most pleased about in the first round was the number of youngsters int he stands... we have to reach out to them in "their language"... if this is to be successful....

You keep trying to play the wise old git card and it just doesn't ring true. "Do the research"? FFS what a flog you can be sometimes. Scoring pretend internet debate points can be fun and all but there is a line.

Words and context matter... as you are very well aware. Do you call your rivals "Fenians" as a term of endearment, or have they too given up the right to claim a shared ancestry to yours?

I actually do call them fenians, as that is what they identify as. Words and context, we are not writing books FFS.

Sorry, but it is warranted. The NPL guys have judged the A league on its crowds for years on both forums.

One other thing, if they get to the top league, how will they be able to sustain it financially on those types of crowds.

I may be wrong, but NPL budgets are about $500,000 per annum on wages. The average A league is between $3.5 to $ 4million a season. Where will the extra money come from. Sponsors will want more feet at the grounds to view their product, if they are dipping in large.
