Definitely but surely there is someone out there who is younger and better, probably on lower dollar too. I know he lives or used to live around the corner in Cecil Hills so perhaps he isn’t asking much.he had a great game, cant blame him for the goal he conceded.
Probably from also both our younger supporters sperging and taking the piss the entire 90 in the cup. At least they had some fun.
If events from a few years ago are reason to have riot police in a crowd of 2000, that makes it harder to argue that police are wrong to bankrupt clubs with their current policy of overpolicingWould this have anything to do with the cup final a few years ago ?

I can confirm its currently on well over 50 South fans making the away Olympic trip..
It comes from above the police, unfortunately. If events from a few years ago are reason to have riot police in a crowd of 2000, that makes it harder to argue that police are wrong to bankrupt clubs with their current policy of overpolicing
I was at the game and I said to my friend that Heidelberg need to win some early games, because they have had a loonnnng season, and they will tire.Should have pinched a draw at the end, heidelberg look tired but Marconi didnt push until the last 5
I think its still helpful if the football community advocates together for better policingIt comes from above the police, unfortunately.
I cannot believe I missed that banner!!! I only saw one set of Marconi supporters. A mother and her 2 toddlers ... did they put it up? Hehe@Glenardo ... ahh the magic of away days, What a great sight!! Wish there was more of a presence though!
Was that canned crowd noise?!south hobarts crowd was really good, wish is was miked. If that's the support they get they are surely ready for a h&a bid
The rains came down today in Melbourne later on. Let us be grateful that the weather has been superb. All in all, opening weekend of the championship would surely be deemed a success. At the very least there was a solid amount of interest in the comp. As I’ve said, not perfect re the format but atleast there’s now something tangible to build upon rather than just continually delaying. If the last few years have shown anything re western united etc it’s that it’s one thing to debate the pros and cons of something prior to its inception, it’s another thing to actively abort it once it’s a reality. You’d imagine given the interest and reception it’s received from the football community that it would be a hard/controversial sell to now actively kill it and not progress forward from here
Good luck with that, Scottish clubs have been fighting this for years with the police, with the result being that police tell you when play, days and time.I think its still helpful if the football community advocates together for better policing
Thanks for the info. Its Bayswater FFS. If it was a Preston or South Melbourne, i'd get some sort of presence, but even that would be an overkill.
FYI - Football Australia dont fork out the police and security costs. They tell the club this is what you are going to have and you need to fork it out.
So the club is probably at a loss today. Each police officer is $150p/h
Well if I am a barometer, you are right. I am going to Sydney and nearly certainly to Brisbane. In terms of south travelling i dont think there will be much for the Newcastle game. The time and flights aswell as prices are very awkward.

In season 2021-22, Rangers paid £475560 in police costs, around $950000AUDThanks for the info.
I had no idea that clubs have to pay for the police presence that is forced on them. It does change my perspective on their excessive attendance significantly.
Let me also add 2 other issues. Is the SBS coverage horrible? I am watching the mini match from South Hobart .... the crowd sound is clearly from another point in the match!!!
Haha.. There was more than that.. a couple guys put the banner up when we got there bout half hour before kick off i asked them if they wanted a hand... lol.I cannot believe I missed that banner!!! I only saw one set of Marconi supporters. A mother and her 2 toddlers ... did they put it up? Hehe
No it is not your internet. The picture quality was terrible on all of games, I would guess around 540pLet me also add 2 other issues.
1) The Mini game from South v Olympic missed many key moments
2) My internet connection some of these matches occasionally does not Work (that might be a problem from my end, though)
